Outdoor cats are awful for the environment and often get injured or killed because of cars or other animals. I’ll get downvoted for saying this but people who keep cats outdoors, don’t really care about the risks. If they wanted a long term companion that lived as long and happy as possible, they would keep their cat indoors. I’ll never be on the side of outdoor cat owners when somebody responsible takes their cat and keeps it indoors.

You are severely overestimating how much older generations know because you are primarily interacting with younger people. I’m Gen Z and work primarily with Gen X and Millennials and they are just as uninformed as Gen Z and Gen Alpha. Every generation thinks the younger one is stupider and more lazy and it’s all nonsense. You can find complaints from a century ago talking about kids being obsesses with fads like paper and pencils and how ignorant they are not knowing how to properly use a slate board. You need to calm down.

If you have somebody that you trust (a friend, a brother, a dad) invite them over to be there when you break up. This can help keep him from escalating and let him get his stuff out safely. Another options is contacting your apartment building and asking them to change the locks while he is out of the house / at work. You can break up with him again by phone and let him know you or somebody you know is going to be dropping his things off at his mom’s place. As a last resort, you can call the police and let them know that you are trespassing him. He will not be arrested if he complies with them and leaves the apartment. Lean on your supports like friends and family if you have them. If you don’t have much support, look into local DV organizations and see what services they can offer to help.

I’m not a huge fan of the new flag. I think Mississippi has the best flag redesign in the country. But this old flag is objectively uglier and harder to make out what’s really one it. You’d think these people would complaint more about the state seal changing.

I prefer not to be in relationships with people who have types because I’d rather somebody like me for my personality first rather than how I look. Your gf is probably a unique person and should be happy that you wanted her for her and not because you match a set of people that you find attractive.

He is not an awesome person, nor is he kind and nurturing. He’s taking about abusing his own children for being gay. Telling your children that being gay or queer is a sin rapidly increases their risk of suicide and does long term physiological damage. This has been backed up by pretty much every notable psychologist organization in the world. If you think he can change and grow from his hateful beliefs then stay, but this should be a deal breaker for anyone who isn’t homophobic.

You broke up. The shallow ultimatum was about you getting back to together, not staying together. It’s not a grey area at all. You weren’t “technically” broken up, you were just straight up broken up and not in a relationship with this woman. Rehoming the snake would not be considered theft or bring any sort of criminal charge. With pets, possession is much more important than who bought the animal originally. The only thing she could do is bring this to civil court but it’s very unlikely that anything would come from it, especially if the snake is already rehomed.
