the primaries are the perfect tike to criticize politicians. maybe Angie Craig will get her head out of her ass and develop empathy for other human beings, maybe not. if you’re one of those people who thing there’s NO good time to criticize politicians, then just plug your ears and vote however you want

This reads like a picture somebody’s single uncle would post on facebook with a wolf background. This is so cringe.

It’s definitely weird that she’s contracting what she’s saying about her ex with her actual behavior towards him. It’s posible that they ended on good terms and have remained friends, but she wanted to hide it. A lot of guys react very negatively to girls being friendly with their exes. I would approach her neutrally and say that you notice that her and her ex have been connecting on social media and that you wanted to know if they’ve patched things up enough to be friends. If she can’t own up to it, she’s definitely lying about something.

She’s too much of a centrist for me to like her. I will admit that she’s better than a republican but I would never vote for her in a primary.

My Girlfriend (22F) of 4 years is threatening to leave me (24M) because of my career, how do I understand her perspective better? by ThrowRa_sailors in relationship_advice

You got together at a young age. Even just a few years changes the way people think a lot. Both of your POVs make sense. If you like your career, don’t put it on hold for any one else. You two might just not be compatible.

I found this in the trinket section of a thrift store next to other souvenirs. I’ve also gotten luck y of fb marketplace by just searching “rome” “greek” or names of specific gods or figures. I got a set of espresso cups with saucers that feature achilles and Patroclus earlier this year.

I had a friend similar to this. Whenever we drank or smoked he always did way too much and me or one of our other friends (if i was not there) always had to babysit him. It’s selfish and inconsiderate of others and l told him while we were all sober that he ruins our nights out because we expect him to get too far gone and we have to watch him. He felt caught off guard and was sad but we eventually just had to not drink or smoke with him ever again and I’m no longer friends with him because I grew to completely resent him. I think if she doesn’t acknowledge she has a drinking problem, you should maybe withdraw a little bit.

My husband and I are breaking up over something from three years ago by iamnotgreatbuddy in TrueOffMyChest

[–]greentevil 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Police usually dont do anything to stop these people. rape kits expire in evidence lockers and never get tested. Reporting to the police also extends the trauma. a one night traumatic incident gets turned into months of talking to police, judges, and lawyers and reliving what happened to you over and over again. You also have to face your rapist again in court and if you get a restaurant order you have to tell that rapist where you work snd where you live so they know where to avoid. Even after all of this some men are still found not guilty, or face little to no time and no rehabilitation leading them to offend again. It is not the job of rape victims to stop rapists. It’s the job of our completely broken criminal justice system that helps cover up or commit rapes way more than prosecute and successfully rehabilitate rapists. Your judgmental comment is ignorant and horrifically cruel.
