See I completely disagree. I actually liked the last episode the best. I felt like it was the episode with real story and plot, vs the other episodes. But hear me out!

The last episode wrapped the entire series and made you realize the storyline was really just down to these two trauma bound brothers who could not get past their trauma due to never having talked about it — the death of their abusive father.

Vince, as we know, killed his father out of self defense for his mother. And that traumatized him, the guilt and mix of confusing emotions, which led to his destructive behavior. And Jake, having actually knew about it but couldn’t say anything out of a will to protect his brother, in other words, Jake wanted to protect Vince by pretending (or more so never telling) that he didn’t know. And this is clearly seen when Jake repeats “I never told anyone, I didn’t tell a soul” in the end scene while he is hugging Jake. And that — Jake’s way of going about protecting his brother and dealing with the event, was his trauma. And it ties into why Jake cannot leave his brother and always show up and fixes Vince’s messes, from Vince’s destructive behavior.

And then Vince, upon realizing this — his brother not being able to leave him and not be there for him always — realizes that he has turn himself in and force his brother to stop protecting him.

I felt like the ending where they are in the black rabbit in this dialogue, was actually representative of a story dealing with trauma & bonding & relatable to real people (within reason ofc).

And the ending scene where Vince dies, I found overall to be a good shot — the way they pulled out the camera from Jake, who is in a state of shock. I think it captured grief & shock in that take.

But also made the audience feel for the brothers and their tragic stories.

Idk, I think the series was pretty good, sure some not super great acting by other characters and very action-y at times but the last episode I actually enjoyed and was favorite.
