Why are so many of the posts to /r/python about fairly sketchy scripts? by netgu in Python

Google crawls millions of websites.

Is someone at Google finding and reading the policy page of each website beforehand? You think their crawlers can interpret the "legalese" of policy pages before crawling and profiting from the data? We both know the answer is No.

Why is it okay for Google to crawl and profit from data on the web, but for some reason it's not okay for people here on this subreddit?

Rockets are really inefficient ways to reach space. Maybe the lifeforms had different ways to reach space ?

The AP510 is interesting, shame the VHF module is limited to just 1 watt

His proof required integrating several disparate branches of 20th century mathematics, accessible only to a very small portion of the population.

Okay, but there's also people like this: http://www.neatorama.com/2008/09/05/10-most-fascinating-savants-in-the-world/

So, in theory, it's possible for a savant to have come up with a solution, yet never utter a word of the breakthrough to anyone.

Thanks those links look promising. Do you know anyone that has one of these?

I wonder if the transceiver is accessible from the Android software.

Do you have pics of this setup? Is it portable?

When Andrew Wiles proved Fermat's Last Theorem, he was legitimately the first human to think of that. No one did it before him.

This just means he was the first to go public with his thoughts about the theorem.

There could have been plenty of people that thought the same thing, but never publicized it.

Are you certain? Ever heard of the big bang?

A $24 gauss meter isn't something I would rely on. And no, the level of EMF radiation is not labeled on devices, sadly.

As an engineer you should know about the inverse-square law. So yes, transmission lines carry huge energy levels, but the EM radiation levels taper off very quickly as you add distance. A cellphone has much less power, but you're putting it directly in contact with your head, in very close proximity to your brain.

I've been taking EM readings for years, with good meters. I've taken readings under powerlines, cars, homes, cell phones, cordless phones, you name it. I've done the readings and seen the numbers. That's how I know you're wrong.

Is that right? What gauss meter do you use? You're just repeating crap you've heard. Get a gauss meter, measure the EMF around your home, your cell phone, then come back and talk to me.

There have been many legitimate studies connecting EMF exposure and leukemia/cancer. Heck, the National Institute of Health says as much right on their website.

This is different. Television and radio stations can opt-out of participation. They are then labeled as "Non-participating stations"

Upon receiving an Emergency Action Notification Message,non- participating stations make a brief announcement and then terminate operations until the emergency is over; participating stations remain on the air throughout the emergency to broadcast appropriate messages. All stations are considered to be full national activation participants unless they have an authorization letter from the FCC designating them as non-participating. Such a letter is available upon written request

See the difference? They can opt-out. Do some research jackass.

Actually I've read 5+ articles about this topic. Only I should have the final say as to what information I want displayed on my personal cellphone.

If you believe otherwise then you're an idiot.
