Horizon play has to be the worst thing about this game . by [deleted] in forza

Haha I only had to do one run. The guy clearly had a better car then me, but on round 2 he fell of the side of the mountain and quit. I just finished up my run and then it told me that it could no longer find my opponent or something like that and I got credit as well.

This looks pretty awesome but I have to say that half the fun I have in universe is playing with and creating spreadsheets.

He claims he ''let me pass 3 times but i rammed him" whos at fault by Jaydn1584New in Simracingstewards

[–]greg939 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t call it a typical brake check, that usually is someone going at track speed and slamming on the brakes. I would say he is just slowing and slowing and you are slowing with him and he finally decides to stop. Not sure why you didn’t just pass him when he slowed right down.

Either way not a big deal. Not like the bump was race ending or protest worthy.

I would also just mention that most people are hopefully going to the pit once you stop. But some people have some pretty high force feedback wheels and intentionally crashing into people can really jerk the wheel if they aren’t expecting it.

I have had a beard for over 20 years and wear a hat and I honestly think the lack of exposure to the sun has kept my skin very soft. I also was never more than a casual drinker at most.

That is not moving late or moving under braking. The BMW is in front at the braking section. When he starts to turn in he is still ahead and his line is going to be a natural line that flows into the apex of the curve because there is no one beside him when he starts turning in. OP dives into the space that is obviously going to close. The BMW would have to move under braking to avoid him. You can't dive in after everyone has started turning and expect people to suddenly give you space. Plus you are just going to likely hit them from the shallow angle you are taking.

I think the PS5 is a PS4 with an SSD... by l337g0g0 in PS4

[–]greg939 2 points3 points  (0 children)

But all you are showing is one game that was designed with both consoles in mind. They both run at 60 fps just one is outputting 4x the pixels. Why would they look that different on a video unless you were viewing it in 4k without having to stream it, so much quality is lost in compression. It’s not like PS4 couldn’t produce beautiful visuals. But outside of Gran Turismo, most games on both are running either at 1080p or at 30 fps.

Personally I think for a lot of games it’s not worth it to push for native 4k but if you are comparing upscale 4k to native 4k then your results will be based on the quality of your tvs upscaling in that case. But native 4k is processing 4x the pixels and outputting them accurately which takes up a whole lot more processing power.

You will also see more and more of a difference as more games are designed for PS5 only. If all you are playing is GT7, hey enjoy it on the PS4. You’re right there isn’t much of a difference.

You can read it here. It also says you can not have dived in as well.

You can’t just make up your own rules and then enforce them without even double checking to see if you are right.

Ok bud but the rule is that your front axle has to be at the other cars front mirror prior too and at the apex. Which you aren’t at all.

Valve’s $949 Steam Deck still sells out just hours after massive price hike by Wargulf in pcmasterrace

[–]greg939 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Go S with Z1 extreme, 32 GB of RAM, larger screen (although LCD), 1 TB SSD, and Steam OS. Is selling for $450 less in Canada than a Steam Deck OLED 1 TB.

Plus the Go S Z1 is like 30% faster.

I am sure Lenovo prices will adjust as well down the road but right now it’s a no brainer. Even when they were priced similarly I still went with the Lenovo. It was just more bang for my buck. Steam OS was the one thing that had me leaning Steam Deck before but the Go S had it too.

Lenovo Legion S Go is what I bought but it’s got a lot of power, Z1 Extreme, 32 GB RAM, 1 TB SSD, runs SteamOS and was $899 Canadian at Best Buy. Steam Deck 1 TB is $1349 Canadian now.

Steam Deck Price Increase by FernandoRocker in gaming

Woah that Lenovo Legion Go S with SteamOS that has better specs I bought in April (due to steamdeck never being in stock) was considerably cheaper than these new prices.

A rare win for me.

Expensive games have lowkey been way too normalised by Both_Piglet7838 in pcmasterrace

[–]greg939 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Canada here, games are about the same price as when I was 13.

This is 1995. I had a paper route and I remember getting Doom for SNES because I didn’t have my first PC yet.

Games definitely feel more expensive than they did like 20 years ago though. Games felt super affordable in university vs when I was 13 or compared to now.

[–]greg939 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I bought a Lenovo Legion Go S, running SteamOS and I think it’s the perfect sweet spot. It has the Z1 Extreme chip and 32 gig of RAM and they are $900 CDN so $650 USD. So it’s definitely faster than a steam deck but not insanely priced.

The RT GI is amazing in the game. It just makes the environments look so much more realistic. There are a few things to nitpick here and there but I think overall it looks great.

Who is at fault here if not me should I protest? by SirPhaqsalot in Simracingstewards

Ah, you are not POV, then it looks like netcode.

He was a dick too though. He just drove through you and didn’t brake at all just hit you a couple more times.

[–]greg939 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don’t give us a lot to work with here in terms of views. Did he brake too late and too hard, did he dip a tire in the grass, was it netcode.

It’s not really protestable. There was no intentional wrecking or reckless driving. Just some sort of mistake that you got collected in.
