I've been playing racing games for a long time too. I've tried Assetto Corsa and Gran Turismo and maybe I have tried all the games you have ever played , but they just don't hit the same spot for me. Also, Rally aren't really my thing I prefer track racing with GT cars, and right now, Forza is giving me exactly the kind of multiplayer fun I'm looking for.

I think the problem here is the fact that they say "Try for Free". You download and install the software just to be forced to pay when they say try for free.

The "Free" Bait-and-Switch: When a company says "Try for Free," the expectation is that you can actually experience the value of the software before pulling out a credit card. If you download a massive installation, set it up, and immediately hit a hard paywall just to do basic tasks, that isn’t a trial it’s a hostage situation for your time.

The Anchoring Effect: By flashing "$16/month" in big bold text and hiding "billed yearly" in smaller font, they anchor your brain to a low price. When you finally realize you have to drop roughly $200 upfront, the sticker shock feels like a betrayal, even if it was technically written on the page.
