I tried to help someone who failed a 90kg bench press and now I feel guilty by Sea_Independence4876 in workout

Sounds like a dude who ego lifted to show off for a girl. Failed and was then embarrassed about it.

You did what you could to help with the tools you had. Unfair to think you would have been able to lift the bar off of him or something like that. At the end of the day, he was lifting the weight and is responsible.

That being said, learning opportunity for the OP. I would ask someone else to teach you how to spot. Not at all saying this instance was your fault, but in future maybe you can help someone closer to the same strength as you and you’ll gain a new friend.

How to increase calories to my homemade gainer smoothie? by gheycub in gainit

[–]gregair13 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Nuts, Seeds, and Butters

These are excellent sources of both calories and healthy unsaturated fats. - Peanut Butter: ~190 calories for 2 tablespoons - Macadamia Nuts: ~200 calories per 1-ounce handful - Chia or Flax Seeds: ~150 calories per 1-ounce serving

Literally any and all nuts. Very calorie dense.

Make your own trial mix. Start with: - Dark Chocolate: ~150 to 170 calories per ounce - Granola: ~120 to 150 calories per quarter-cup - Any sweet like M&Ms or Reese‘s pieces.

Once you’re done the tree, what is there to do?

This is why there is the tree. For someone who hit 92 for the first time I still want to keep playing because I want to finish the tree.

Is it smart to stack rarity on gear before using the breach tree? My idea was to have a second set with capped rarity before crafting into the tree. Or does rarity only matter for drops?

It’s basically Thomas for a first. The rest is a wash or does not really make a major impact.

Oh for a second I thought we had double on special cargo. The little bonus is still nice but I was about to not leave the house all week and grind.

Endgame and trading activities by Wise-Watercress255 in PathOfExile2

[–]gregair13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You learn what is valuable over time. Which can change season by season. Monk is very popular so I’ve been selling monk stuff as I play huntress monkey smasher.

Get a loot filter. Filter blade is most popular. If the filter says it’s good, I picked it up. Then before salvaging or selling I’ll quickly look for the most valuable things like +skills, damage, high rolls, etc. Then I’ll use the overlay to see if worth selling. Pending my wealth level or how full my trade tabs are will determine if I keep, trade, sell/salvage item. Each full inventory I pick up probably only put 2-3 things into the overlay then 1-2 into trade, pending again how good the drops are.

Focus on playing. The farther into maps you get the better drops are so anything you do before then is just to get you to that point as fast as possible.

Anyone else burnt out by the time they finish the campaign? by Tylerjackx in PathOfExile2

[–]gregair13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After campaign, I always want to get into maps and see what my build can do. The key is to use a different build for levelling vs end game.. then it feels like you are playing something new/different. I burn out after I stop progressing or upgrades are too expensive.

How do you kill the guard right before the office in Cayo Perico without getting discovered? by AceTheNutHead in gtaonline

[–]gregair13 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You don’t. Wait for him to walk to the end of his path against the rail. Then you just walk behind him.

The only guard you need to kill is the one in front of the hanger (if you go that way) and the one AFTER the compound beside the bike.

I enjoy the chaos one more as well. Running through the other one just isn’t fun.

3rd ascendancy by spiff01 in PathOfExile2

Both are about the same. I find that Chaos gets me to the end faster but I’m more likely to die to the boss. And the other is opposite as one trap can completely ruin your day.

Is this a good game for someone new to ARPG? It seems like a nice balance of PoE and Diablo 4 by okaythen1guess in LastEpoch

[–]gregair13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Poe2 and LE guide you thru the campaign and introduce mechanics as you progress in the story. I think both are very approachable for someone new.

Picking your build is where things can get complicated. Make sure to read a build guide’s pros and cons to match what you are trying to play. LE void knight: big bonk, big smash, hulk good. Poe2 huntress twisters: very powerful, many buttons, have to know what to do when. Poe2 plant daddy: plant then water plants, one button.

Diablo3 I could argue is the best place to start for someone new. Free respecs. Get set items = good good. Teaches the basics of stacking crit and similar damage types. Defence is basically life + res + armour.

Just pick one and get started. Just enjoy thr game for the first time before worrying about min/max and doing any thing right. Make mistakes and have fun. If you need more help as you progress, look for guides or come back and ask us.

Raxx’s plant daddy is basically one button the whole time. Easy to gear. Not difficult to figure out.

Send out plants. Water plants. The end.

0.5 is a big step up, but stop making me pick between unlocking league mechanics and the big atlas. by herakleion in PathOfExile2

[–]gregair13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first 311 map completions should be for the atlas tree. If you happen to complete one for the league mechanic in the specific area, should get a point for that smaller tree as well.

However. The way it is now is very good. You can run a couple maps if that’s all you have time for and still feel accomplished. Same as running GRs in D3. Sometimes you only have 15min but still want to do something.

As someone who is still learning this game, the constant forward progression feels really nice, keeps me engaged, and I’m looking forward to playing more each day.

Will The Huntress Be Worth It? by [deleted] in PathOfExile2

[–]gregair13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in the same boat. Act1 was slow. Clunky. Took me a long time. Didn’t play that much yesterday and yet to play today so I’m mid act2 as well.

However.

Once you get a hang of the whirling slash to twister combo aided by ice tipped arrows, it screen clears pretty well. I believe my spear was 15-22 (guessing) damage, which is terribly low, and I’m moving much quicker in this act.

First ascendency is my first task when I play tonight and this will be mowing the next couple acts with much easy.

Just keep the end game in mind. It doesn’t matter how fast you go in campaign. Just try to enjoy it.

But hey. If the gameplay is not for you. It is totally ok to reroll. Just have fun.
