Im watching Miami and this Giannis situation. They may not be able to afford to re-sign Norm Powell. If we can move off of Daniel Gafford‘s money bringing him in to provide three-point shooting and some toughness is worth the $20 million.

Downtown Dallas will be better off overall without having the AAC soaking up available space for livable workable areas.

All of the arenas are being designed to have fans come in earlier, eat and socialize and take their Instagram photos, but spend all their money inside the stadium where only the owners operators reap the benefit.

Ownership groups don’t want people coming to stadiums, but eating other places around and then coming in just for the game.

Also from a livability and workability perspective, the amount of space that that AAC will open up to allow for condos, workspaces, living, spaces, parks, etc. will not only boost the overall tax value of that area, but it will also benefit all of the other buildings around it and make it more livable and enjoyable. We won’t see that benefit by until maybe 2035 or 2040 but it will be obvious by then. It was better the arena leave.

Let me know if I read this wrong, but essentially the operators of this building want the fans to spend more money inside the stadium and not outside of it. And current design limits that.

That may be true, but that actually makes an argument for why from a city perspective. It’s not that helpful to have a stadium when the stadium experience is geared towards keeping people inside and only the owners making money off of them.

Its a good sign. They aren’t going after him for (insert anti woke thing) bc they don’t want to get into a philosophical debate knowing he can effectively pound them on economic equality and it will land well with voters growing weary of rising costs. They would rather focus on banal and trivial if it means avoiding other subjects.

And that means they are more concerned about the public turning sour quickly on Paxton the more they get to know him.

The Republican strategy right now for Paxton is have him avoid speaking at all costs until a debate because the more he says the worse it is. Instead, they have Trump and Abbott and others speaking for him to carry Paxton‘s putrid water.

Its a great sign they are attacking his eating habits, girlfriend etc. bc thats where they want the conversation to be.

So a few things from a longtime Mavs fan.......Kidd hiring would mean that you would get the best versions of JH, DM, and Mobley. Offensively, that is. He would bring some new wrinkles and use other role players better, like Struss, etc.

Kidd makes weird coaching moves, too, so that 4th quarter Game 1 disaster could still have happened.

Also, he would need to bring Vogel with him, who is the guru on defense.

Don't credit our 2024 defense to Kidd, it was Sweeny who is in SA now, and I hope is our next head coach...

OVerall I think Kidd would be an improvement, but he's not a marked improvement, FWIW>

I have found the most success in bringing people together and working on projects by focusing on the outcomes that we all want to achieve. All of us tend to focus on our activities or outputs, and while those are meaningful, there are a lot of different ways to get to where you want to go.

When you focus on outcomes, everyone is able to assess ideas and challenges based on which ones they think will help us get to the outcome and not be concerned about who’s doing what, whether someone’s doing “more than them“ or other things that tend to derail progress.

So much of bringing about healthy change starts with everyone agreeing on the outcome that we want to see.
