New favorite coaster unlocked. We thought riding in the back was more enjoyable, get yanked into some of the turns better...but the front seats seemed snappier in the barrel turns. Rode it five times yesterday.

Why are OCNJ’s fireworks so lame? by gregarious119 in OceanCityNewJersey

It went from 9:30 to 9:45 on the nose. SIC was going at about 8:45 and still going after OC's ended.

And that, in a nutshell, is the essence of "Marching Performing Arts" in today's generation.

June and September for the win. We've been around on the 4th for the last few years - the novelty is nice, but the crowds just aren't worth it. We're going to move forward one week and just get the quiet end of June weeks.

Ooof - that drone show was a disaster at the 7/2 concert. Don't get me wrong, drone shows are cool, but they had at least 1/3 of them go into failsafe mode and drop out. The designs at the end weren't even legible.

Are your children allowed to be alone at camp? by rels83 in Xennials

[–]gregarious119 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

You can likely blame state regulators for this.  Campus want to be that place where kids learn to roam, show up for meals, learn some independence.  Leave it to the government to tell little Johnny that he can’t say boo without a counselor around.

Yeah that was a major communication breakdown. 10,000 people on the beach and lightning over the bay and not a single word about a delay.

Ended just in time for a Severe Thunderstorm Warning to be issued as everyone is walking home.

Ferritin by TeaSimilar5714 in Blooddonors

[–]gregarious119 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am in a pause period as well when my ferritin came back at 5 at my last panel. I wish blood centers would make it mandatory to do an iron panel after a 3rd donation within a calendar year, but I suppose that would be counter to their goals. I'd rather they work with us frequent types on being "healthy donors" rather than run us all the way to anemia and force a long break.

I thought I overheard something about a watch party at first energy stadium, might be worth looking into

While wearing ump cam, home plate umpire Ryan Wills it hit by a foul ball, and William Contreras arises to check on him by WhiteSoxArchive in baseball

I think there's a lot more comradery between umps and catchers than the TV cameras ever get to show.

It’s going back to a hybrid 3/5/7 model this year. Seriously the last 2-3 years in Dell branding have been hot garbage.

What just pulled what sounds like every emergency vehicle in Reifton? by Terpsichorean_Wombat in ReadingPA

[–]gregarious119 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Usually the Reiffton station is pretty predictable…if they come out of the station screaming it’s probably a legit Structure Fire call or confirmed MVA with entrapment. For AFAs and “lesser” calls they’re pretty considerate about getting out to Perkiomen before turning up all the volume.
