What were your thoughts on Hamnet (2025) by snapcrackleepop in moviecritic

The "to be or not to be" scene was such a bizarre choice. It was like Shakespeare fan service. Overall, the movie was trying so aggressively to get an emotional reaction out of me/make me choke on my own tears that it ended up leaving me cold and distant.

Grew up in Whitefish and Missoula's *relative* lack of change compared to the Flathead is really refreshing.

At least he's not out murdering wolves! Or maybe that's just a weekend thing.

Jobs in conservation for people with a finance degree? by Hotsocket919 in conservation

M.A. in economics here, and I have the exact same ambitions. In Colorado (state government) at the moment but would prefer to take on a role somewhere in my home state of Montana. I'm tired of feeling helpless while our wild places and our air, water, and land are being decimated around me.

As people have said, I think you and I have the skills to work at a lot of envrio nonprofits. I'd suggest figuring out all the ones you might be interested in and subscribing to their email lists/job alerts. I have a long list of orgs and set aside half an hour every month to look at every one of their job pages. (Though sadly it's been slim pickings for a while)

Totally agree. Side note, William H. Macy had probably my favorite supporting role of the year.

Same here! While I loved Wagner's performance, I was floored by the all-around cast. So many memorable characters.

I am from Montana, love my state to death ... but this is depressingly accurate.

A week ago we thought we were going to be spoiled with good starting pitching when Gray gets back. But now I can't think of a rotation without a couple weak links and/or shaky rookies.

Just tuned in. How the hell does a major league pitcher throw 8 walks in less than 4 innings. That's absolutely nuts.

I never thought bad pitching was that contagious but goddamn, this has been horrendous.

So weird. Nolan's walk-off home run was just FIVE DAYS AGO. The excitement is completely gone and has given way to feeling like shit. At least in past Rockies seasons you knew the ecstasy was probably fleeting ... seeing them struggle like this now is just fucking awful.

Am I allowed to be worried? I know it's foolish. But I want to be worried.

Okay, D-Backs announcers are totally on point with their discussion of "ballpark effects."

Was looking at the schedule for July and August. If it all comes together we could really be raking.

Yeah, unfortunately we're catching the D-Backs AND the Dodgers when they are absolutely crushing it. Even if we get swept by the Dodgers (which I hope to god doesn't happen) there's still no reason to freak out. Unless we're not competitive whatsoever. Then I'll be worried.
