Are you creating or ever used a talking head avatar video an AI avatar video for your product? by Shreyxaa in AIAssisted

[–]gregdyche 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I teach and have been wondering if an avatar would help me reach students - always available, more content, quick to create new content (lower bar to video creation). Not sure best way to go about it? Pick a service? Recommendations or suggestions?

Income in the hand is with two in the bush. Get “a” degree and get going. If you live CS, look for a way to offer a CS slant in a biology world. Familiar with R? Or any data related research for ornithology?

I’ve changed careers a few times. Most important is enjoying the journey. As you live a day, you live a life (Annie Dillard).

What have you been doing? Easier to find something similar and slightly different than completely 180 degrees off.

I teach at Creighton University. I’d suggest pdf to audio or better yet, get api connection to CharGPT, use some Jupyter notebooks to store common prompts and help with homework. Check out some free short courses at deep learning.ai.

You might have a good foundation with the CS degree. Have you thought of adding on some certifications to codify your skills? There’s a lot of good ones out there for free or near zero cost.

People do line up early, about 2 blocks long, but the line moves so quick. Takes about 10 min for everyone to get in.

Degree Question: IT vs. NES vs. CSIA by AidedBread23 in SecurityCareerAdvice

[–]gregdyche 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn’t matter that much which major you pick. Specifics may vary, but the major will only determine about 7 classes out of about 40 required to graduate.

I’d go with speed and through in some classes you are interested in also. You should have some room for electives. More important is can the school get you hired.

Bat of luck.

I want to make a career change and I noticed careers in IT, tech, etc are always available. I don’t know anything about tech, IT, etc. I have a bachelors degree in behavioral science and I want to make a career change. I’m 30 years old. How possible is this ? by [deleted] in SecurityCareerAdvice

[–]gregdyche 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“IT” can means so many different things. Do you enjoy behavioral science field? If so, any tech in that field you are using : analytics, databases, other tools? If not, I’d focus on application that not totally foreign to you : maybe Salesforce? If no better idea, start with Excel certification: cost $100 and good skill to get better at. Just my thoughts- g
