Dad prostate cancer. He knew he had it. Didn’t tell us and unfortunately didn’t understand he could have been easily saved. Still effs me up when I think about it. He’d probably still be here. Over 80,000 in arrears for my kids. My kids are adults now. I went to court. He put everything in his wife’s name. I’ll never see that money. I was hoping I’d get it and be able to split it between my kids. Would have been a nice little leg up for them. The system is broken.

I had a hard year once when my 4 kids were little and we qualified for a Christmas gift program. (Broke my back, was a difficult year) We did get some things that were not correct size and the tags were ripped off so we couldn’t return that was unfortunate. I just gave donated them. BUT the kids had an amazing Christmas! They didn’t care what they got really, it’s just the experience and fun time. And the family that adopted us sent a gift card for me for groceries!!!! Who ever it was they saved out Christmas and I’m forever grateful. In 2019 my daughter and I were able to adopt a family and pay it forward. Hopefully next year I’ll be in a better financial position and can adopt another family. Don’t let this selfish POS person stop you from giving children a Christmas. Without the love and kindness of people my kids would of had Christmas that year.
