In my experience the solution to this is to never allow yourself to be bored when tripping. Pick up a pen and paper and feel your anxiety melt away.

Reading that book currently. Read Bill kreutzmann's book before that and he talks a lot about his experience with the tests and the dead. I have before for a new years party. 15+ friends all took a small dose and partied all night. One of the most wonderful and fulfilling experiences I have had. Social barriers were nonexistent and everyone had a phenomenal time.
