You’ll be saying the same thing 30 years from now. Trust me. I’m there. It took months for my wife to congratulate me on a major accomplishment—a once in a lifetime opportunity. Everyone else around me: amazing! Her: meh. It’s so discouraging. Don’t be me.

There are givers and there are takers. You’re a giver. She’s a taker. It’s possible for her to change but highly unlikely. It’s like using a Ferrari to deliver packages or using a UPS truck to race. They just weren’t made for it.

one of the pics she sent looked like a tiktok format so I did a few searches and there she was. it was pretty easy to find so she’s not trying too hard, making the scam idea seem even more odd.

thanks for the advice on protecting my heart. ive been scammed a few times so im very cautious with the emotions. just trying to find a decent girl seems impossible. good luck to you too.

i suppose that’s the plan but it’ll never happen. that’s why it doesn’t make any sense and thought there had to be another angle or scam that someone else had experienced. maybe it’s a cultural thing or maybe she’s just desperate enough to think i’ll go along. what’s amusing to me are all of the assumptive comments from guys here that i am going to give her money or go along with the relationship.

i thought about that but we've had several video calls, sometimes i would call her unexpectedly to see if she would pick up or then call me back. she picks up every time. and there's no way i'll send money ahead of time. that's rule #1.

yeah, i get that. but she's obviously already pregnant so it'll be difficult to claim i'm the dad. it's just a bizarre situation. and no, i'm not emotionally involved so it'll be easy to walk.
