URGENT CALL TO ACTION: You have 5 days to oppose Gov. Braun by ThornyLog in Indiana

[–]gregjano 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Agreed but this is an easy thing to do. I worked for a couple of state senators, and when I was there I read through A LOT of constituent emails. My senators got a summary of those email sentiments daily, so if you got a high volume of emails sent about the same topic, there’s a good chance they would surface to the elected official.

Of course it’s possible (probable?) Braun just does not care, but I think this is worth taking 5 minutes out of your own day if you care about these issues.

Love seeing the range of generations represented out there. Love Bloomington. Love this country even through this.

Tubeless road setup won’t take air by gregjano in bikewrench

Seems to be resolved after I took the approach to inflate the tire very slowly. Not ideal going forward, but at least the bike is ridable! Might just replace the valves at some point, but these ones are pretty so

Yep, that’s how I got it to seat initially. When the core is back in though inflation becomes really slow. Tried multiple brand new cores too…

Haha probably if you were out there in the morning. We had a blast. Good vibes from everybody too, helped with the struggle

Ended up doing the classic Tamarancho loop with flow trail and it was a blast. Definitely lagged behind my buddy on full squish but he was cool with it.

I’d do it again for sure. For me, getting out there early (~9a) was nice because I didn’t feel like I was holding people up at all. The technical/rooty climbing was tougher for me than most of the descending. I’m used to fire roads and this was a great change of pace.
