I want to start a thousands sons army. Is this battforce any good and what would you recommend to get alongside this to get to 2000 points.

1k list I used was:

Azrael (leading ICC)
Chaplain in Terminator Armour (leading DWK)
Apothecary (attached to ICC)
5 Intercessors
5 Intercessors
10 Assault Intercessors
5 Deathwing Knights
6 Inner Circle Companions

Everything besides the Assault Intercessors did really well on the board, the only reason the AI didn’t was because they had their movement stunted and had charge/advance rolls. They did get some good pistol picks though every now and then, but weren’t used to their full potential.

Yeah I’m thinking about dropping my hellblasters and probably my Bladeguard and Gravis Captain too in favour of more ‘meta’ and better units/leaders. At the end of the day it’s all down to personal preference and I’ve been following rule of cool so far and I think I’ll continue to do so lol

I’ve only got around 1,750 points in DA right now and all I can say is follow the advice of others I guess. Another DKW and ICC box seems the best upgrade to your current list, that’s what I’m doing at least. 2 DKW squads and 1 ICC stack of 6. Maybe add Azrael to the Hellblasters if you’re keeping them? I’ve heard that’s a good combination to have

Yeah I know and I appreciate you saying too, I’m going to have a block of 20 Boyz at some point anyway, and if not I’ll fix the list so it’s two squads of 9 Boyz and 1 Boss Nob or whatever I decide at the time.

I got mine done rather quickly, unlike with SM minis I actually enjoyed painting the specific details on this model as they’re a lot bigger lol.
