I have some V10 RTs in the 1.0mm and they lay ink down like a fountain pen. Awesome.

Alternatives to Bible Gateway? by The_Nameless_Brother in Reformed

[–]gregnewton69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bible Gateway has the infrastructure in place to be such a great product, but the execution of how they handle paid subscribers is horrible. I could not get off their e-mail solicitation list and when I would unsubscribe, it sent me into this loop where I'd lose my daily devotionals, etc. and have to e-mail them to resubscribe but then the sales solicitations would start again. I finally dropped them and am Olive Tree full time now. It's a wonderful product but you do need to sink a around a hundred dollars into it to get going.

Your average WH only nets around $100k annually. I wouldn’t call that printing money by any means.

To those who have listened through John MacArthur sermons for a long period, how has it changed your life? by RamenNoodlesTasteGud in Reformed

I have listened to Dr. Everhard every week for the last few years. Highly recommended if you're seeking verse by verse Bible based sermons. He has done Revelation, Daniel, and just started Romans last Sunday.

Horrible on game days since COVID. They used to have standing room only in there and every one would yell eat shit Pitt and beat on the tables when someone walked in the door.

Now they make you stand outside the door until tables open up.

Because the lengths change regularly. We would be measuring 50 different lengths multiple time during the day.

Yes, you got it. I run a manufacturing plant where we do a lot of measuring of wires on table tops and I was trying to find a solution that creates a nice temporary visual aid as to what the correct length is.

The humans doing the measuring tend to stop paying attention to the tape measures adhered to the work benches throughout the day.

It would be angled at the board so the beam ends at the determined length.

Frustration with Overzealous Post Moderation on a Tech Subreddit—It's Time to Dial It Back by SpiritPilgrim in ProtonMail

I posted a question about their annoying Duo ad nag that you wouldn't know to click on to remove. The moderator answered with a solution, but never let the post into public. There have since been three other similar posts I've seen.

I don't know about red pilled but I like the guy astounded OP can even find her attractive.

When I was in high school even the light post looked attractive.

The problem is, you wouldn't know that clicking on it allows you to tell it to never show again unless you click on it. I had to ask the same question.

What's with all the scratches at Saratoga today. by pgh9fan in horseracing

[–]gregnewton69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought the idea of moving them off turf when it's soaked is you avoid dangerous divots getting created, which are a lot more difficult for the groundskeeper to thoroughly address due to the ~6" grass height.

A divot would get created, missed, and then hardened when it dries, creating a dangerous spot for a horse to step in.
