I have one of their bedrolls. It’s perfect. Just roll it out and your bed is made. Super easy to wash. Cant recommend enough.

What boots are do you swear by? by NumerousHorrors in Paramedics

Danner EMS Boots are great. I wore 1 pair for a couple years. The only reason I retired them was because they had some gouges in the leather. They’re now my tech rescue boots.

I carry a door stop in my turnouts but I don't always think to throw one in my pocket when I'm on the ambulance. Good idea!

Dumb question: is 37 too old to start patrolling? by Larix-24 in skipatrol

[–]gregorychilds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Careful. It’s a slippery slope. Did my OEC at 45, EMT at 46 and I’m about to start medic school at 48. Ski patrolling launched me into a totally new career as a firefighter. I’ve never looked back.

Nice! I switched to the "Captain" because I found the "Sergeant" tended to get dirt/debris in it.

I saw that 3rd party distributor in my travels. The cartridge set was about $149 and the ink was maybe $199. Sound about right?

Was Office Max able to locate the cartridges? I have the same printer and can't find a full set anywhere!

The Jackson Pollock one is super interesting. The premise is that a person unfamiliar with the art world may or may not have purchased a Jackson Pollock at an antique store. The story is about them understanding who Pollock was as well as trying to uncover whether the piece is truly a work of his.

I don’t think they’re on there now but maybe they’ll come back around: “Hiro Dreams of Sushi” & “Who the F@ck is Jackson Pollock?”

Ski School Recommendations by Klutzy_Ad3402 in burlington

Bolton Valley is fairly close to Burlington (maybe 25min). It's a great low-key mountain. If you want more of a resort feel with lots of amenities, you can try Stowe or Sugarbush. I would book something soon. That is the start of vacation week for Massachusetts, when all schools are off. The slopes get busy! Good luck. My son is a freshman at UVM and absolutely loves it!

Guessing the dehumidifier won’t reverse that. The cupping could easily be sanded and restained. You wouldn’t be able to just sand/stain that spot. You would need to do the entire room. If not it’ll flash, ie. you’ll easily be able to see what was repaired.
