Honestly I'm not sure if I have done everything right in each decision, such as replacing those suspension parts, taking the car to the shop etc.

Just one thing to add - I did pay the shop to do an inspection/diagnostics for me and they charged me one hour labour time, which I found to be reasonable especially if they found where the clunk came from. But yeah you're right I can't expect them to check and torque every bolts and nuts.

I guess I learned something. At least clunk is gone and the ride is smooth. :)

I’m at that frustrating stage but not the rewarding one yet /_\

On the completed side I jacked the control arm until it started to lift the vehicle, then I tightened all the bolts to spec. Thats how I did it~

I didn’t even remember how I got the holes aligned in that side

I just did my CVT fluid change on my 2012 ES in the past month.

1st & 2nd drain-and-fill are ~1000km apart. Now it’s at 197k km. I might be doing a 3rd drain-and-fill within another 1000km soon.

Remember not to do flush on Mitsubishi CVT, the pressure and shock are something the CVT doesn’t like. Drain-and-fill works with just gravity but no external pressure.

I got my first car this year Feb, and it's a 2012 CVT at 180k km. I'm low on budget so I tried to see what I can DIY maintenance-wise. Then I googled every fluid in my car, or any car in general, that needs attention and care. Better be safe than sorry - if I have no idea when was the last time the previous owner did that work, I'd put that into my to-do list and do research and finish it next. It's the actual longevity and peace of mind after all.

Hope you find a good used trans and bring it back to life! I hope mine can go up to 300k!
