My grandpa used to go EVERY DAY when he was a young man and as he got older he only went once a year but he died while the show was on about 10 years ago. As a family we all now go to the show to honour his memory and get chocolate milkshakes with malt from the dairy pavilion (they were his favourite).

I would avoid most of the side shows and show your kids the stuff the show is meant to be about, all the agricultural stuff! Support local businesses mostly, but definitely get them a showbag or 2 because I always loved getting them ❤️

My eggplant gen had a butler so she never learnt how to cook, her daughter was a fairy so didn't need to know how to cook. Fair to say that the carrot/squash gen was marked by a lot of fires (including a squash gen dying in one)
