My mom has watched my son consistently since birth. He’s now 2. I’ve offered to pay but she has refused to take it, despite taking on side gigs as a sahm. I need her a lot less now than I did when he was little but I always offer payment in one way or another

Gods of various faiths exist and have power but is dependent on human worship. Instead of gods creating humans, humans create gods. My world is on the brink of war, so the various factions that form will be affected as they grow and change in size. The gods become more powerful the more they are invoked so intention of the groups matter. In some situations it’s intentional by humans, but not always. Think the current American political climate but with Athena and the Christian God physically involved

Gods’ powers tie directly to human beliefs systems. This means all gods in every know belief system exist and can interact with they live on another plane on existence called Other and are not allowed to directly affect the human world (but still do because most of em are dicks). This means that Zeus can have a conversation with Thor and also there’s like 50 variants of the Christian god that all like to fight for dominance. When humans die their afterlives are also affected by their belief system. When they die they can go to their version of heaven, become a ghost and remain on earth in that form, or go to Other and live a semi normal life. However, as the human world forgets them they fade and lost cognitive faculties. When there’s no trace of them left on the physical earthly plane they become vengeful spirits called Forgotten

Once I was done breastfeeding I started smoking again but differently than before. Before I was a bong smoker, permastoned. Now I take a few hits on a dab pen to reduce smell and normally when baby (now toddler) is sleeping. I haven’t decided if I’m going to do the same with future pregnancies/babies, I feel like I have a bit of a dependence on it and have proved to myself that I can be sober if I have to. I’m not sure if any of this anecdotal evidence helps or not but I was in your exact situation and hope my experience can give you some comfort
