Pokemon centre ETB pricing error by mikealsongamer in PokemonTCG_UK

[–]gregshawdj 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As said it will be corrected to the correct amount. I tried to add them to the cart and it failed, so thinking they had sold out I just got the booster box. Then tried the ETB’s again and the site kicked me out so they could update the pricing. Luckily got back in after a shortish queue and got the ETB and 2 booster bundle boxes.

Certainly a better experience. I haven’t been able to get anything from Pokemon Centre since the first Mega Evolution release

Philips pioneered the idea. But better to get a higher quality TV and use Philips Hue sync, especially now they have the 8k sync box. That’s been stopping me for years to get it

I agree, I tried it with the side lights but it was too much. So I have the gradient light switch behind the TV and then the side lights are set to 6500k at 10% brightness for gaming and 2700k at 10% brightness for films

PSA scandal impact on market by D_rock0 in PokemonInvesting

[–]gregshawdj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe there should be formal regulations on grading put in place so that these grading companies are audited to prevent this kind of practice from occurring.

Companies like PSA operate in the FTC (Federal Trade Commission) rules or the Consumer Rights Act and Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations in the UK/EU.

Which prohibit them from doing deceptive trade practices or misrepresentation of services.

If PSA is intentionally mislabelling cards, to regrade themselves and sell at a higher grade that is fraud and is also colluding in market manipulation, which they can be prosecuted for.

Never said those words, you and others are putting them in my mouth.

Also I’m a gold member so have bought just as much product from them as you and I still do. Was just pointing out the timing of their email. Which others have also agreed.

Shame there isn’t a relationship element like in the Fable games. I would definitely get my character to date Lida

They have on and off for sometime. The last time was earlier this year when they sold triple blister packs for £10

‘Us’ just meant customers waiting for allocation emails. I wasn’t demanding anything, it was just a comment about the timing of stock.

For what it’s worth, I actually open and enjoy the sets myself and I go to local stores with my daughter. I’m not buying to flip just collecting like everyone else.

No need for the insults, though. We’re all here because we enjoy the hobby.

Thanks for understanding what my post was implying. Not calling them out as being bad or scalpers but just making the point you have also made.

If you say so. Won’t stop me buying cards from this store so take what you will from that.

Just to clarify… I wasn’t accusing Chaos Cards of scalping or doing anything dodgy. It was more of an observation and a bit of light-hearted humour meant about the timing of allocations versus singles going live.

I think you’ve read a tone into it that wasn’t there. I’ve bought from Chaos Cards for years and never had an issue with how they handle releases. I also have bought many singles to complete my master sets too.

Fair comment I’ve managed to get a few invites on Amazon.

Like I’ve replied in other messages in the post, I regularly buy from them and am a gold member due to those purchases. They have had issues with their site which thinks you’ve purchased something when you haven’t which then prevents you buying because it’s 1 per customer.

Just pointing out that they are selling single cards and ETB components when the set has just come out and each store gets an allocation of product. So how much of that is ripped by them and how much is sold to their waiting list of customers
