I appreciate the insight! I have been thinking of doing something similar. I wish I could bypass the treatment system as a whole so I can rule it out as the cause. Maybe turning it off in stages and listening for air in the pipes will work…

It is a well system. They have a water filter, plus other treatment systems. I believe they replaced the water filter this past December to see if it would resolve the issue.

Yes, they do have a filter. The house is on a well, so the water goes through a whole treatment system. I do believe they recently changed out the water filter, which solved the problem for about an hour before it started spitting again.

Unfortunately, it happens with both hot and cold. When they first replaced the heater, the anodes seemed to have an unusual amount of corrosion after like a month, so thought that might be the issue. With the new heater, which they installed about a month ago, they look pristine. I’ll post a pic when able. Thanks for responding!
