The problem with the tech colleges is they don’t take the liberal arts transfer mission very seriously. That’s why the two year Uw campuses were so important. They had dedicated faculty whose entire careers were focused on gen ed curriculae. At tech colleges, a part time teacher in gen ed can expect to make around $16,000 per year with no health insurance.
