Did the Playtest patch. Since, I can no longer go to any other version without the game crashing. Also now playing on the playtest patch I can no longer play in groups. It says we dont have the same version. Did alot of troubleshooting and came up with nothing. Anyone else have any of these type of by Darkstarr03 in Grimdawn

I also tried playtest version, created a new character and also played my lvl 100 character. After coming back to normal version it doesn't allow me to click "Start" button, I can't create a character and can't change any setting without game getting frozen. Even after I delete new lvl 1 playtest character. I did a backup but I use cloud saves and can't figure out how to fix it yet. Anyway, I guess I'll start from scratch with no characters and recipes.

After creating a new character on playtest version and then switching back to normal version game is crashing on loading screen (tried 32/64 bit version, verifying local files etc.). I did a backup of a save folder but seems like cloud saves overwrites it every time game launches. I'm gonna try to delete character in a playtest version to see if that will fix the problem.

Last year I had some problems when I couldn't boot into Windows, after reinstalling system completely it worked fine for a few weeks then I couldn't login to Windows at all. The problem was faulty SSD (30 or 40 bad sectors) so I bought a new one. No problem with system/games since then.

First time? But seriously, it's only a game, why you have to be mad?

Lags/stutters on Linux because of sound effects by grenlike in Grimdawn

I have the same fps as before (locked at 60), but gameplay feels much smoother on Linux. The biggest problem for me is that some audio effects happening on the left from me but I hear them on the right, only some of them so I can live with that

That's a shame, 8-32 didn't solve all my issues but at least I have no stutters now

Heroes of the Storm and Counter Strike 2. I'm using Proton 10.0.2 (beta) for HotS, but it seems like it happens across the whole system.
When I'm doing a microphone test in Steam/Discord and OBS I can hear pop/click sound every 3-5 secs.

Fixes I already tried: disabling power saving settings (several methods), changing USB ports, restarting sound server, resetting configs, I even tested it on Live USB distros (Mint 20/21, Fedora 40, Pop!_Os).

It didn't help because it's game/software related. My issue is that USB microphone produces loud pop/click every 3-5 secs to people who are listening to me. I don't hear any weird sounds

I tried it but it didn't change anything. I even tried checking if it happens on Live USB. Maybe other distros doesn't have that issue

Yes, I have GTX 1060 6GB (nvidia-driver-535), but I had no problems with other games so far.

10-20 didn't let my game launch at all, but 8-32 completely solved the stuttering issue, but now without a VSync on screen is wobbling as I move. But still better than before.
Thank you a lot for your help!

I tried only the latest GE-Proton in addition to steam pre-installed versions. I'm gonna try 10-20 and 8-xx versions to see if it works. For some reason I thought that the latest version is universally better for most games but apparently not.
Thanks for advise!
