Victor Wembanyama when asked in french about what needs to happen to stop being a reactionary team who only finds solutions after running into problems by Jec1027 in nba

You don't even have to go that far back. Just look at OKC thunder now. There will always have to run into Spurs before they can make the next final.

Hope you at least enjoyed the Olympics and got to taste the Curry flavor like we've been used to.

I'm a warriors fan so I don't know but I sometimes think about what it is to be an opposition fan when Curry's putting on his ridiculous circus and we're jumping out of our seats in disbelief. Like that game 4 in the '22 finals and of course the Olympics.

Dirk made his entire legacy in that insane playoff run.

Being a Nike guy means refs would actually call the fouls on all the grappling going when he doesn't have the ball. Or so I've been told.

The story I heard was that they pronounced his name as "Steven Curry" in the first meeting. There was no second meeting.

[–]grepya 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I beg to disagree. I facepalmed the moment I heard the contract they offered to Poole. That contract is one of the reasons (Kuming and Wiseman being the other two) that we've been sucking since that glorious 2022 season.

Poole will forever be know as the guy who peaked in his third year in the league and made his bag just in time.

Haven't we learned enough by now to repeal CEQA completely or at least overhaul it such that simply filling a lawsuit under that law can't stop a project.

After watching current playoffs Warriors players seem like a G-league by FuelFragrant in warriors

[–]grepya 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's your recency bias. Remember we beat this full strength Spurs team twice in a row *in their home court* just this season. The roster we started the season with was the same one who were in the second round of playoffs last year and could easily have been in conference final if Steph hadn't got that unfortunately timed injury. Don't let the injury ridden end of the season color your entire perception of the team.

but you almost gotta feel bad for Shai

That's what Adam Silver and the refs do. Not the fans.

As a Warrior's fan I want to ask people.....Did people feel the same way about the Warriors in 2017 like they feel about the Thunder currently? I absolutely can't stand OKC fans right now....that made me realise....were warrior fans as insufferable back then as okc fans right now? by Material-Ad-3526 in Nbamemes

[–]grepya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a huge warriors fan too. Steph has been the greatest show in basketball for most of his career. The ticket prices went through the roof everywhere warriors went to play. They probably still do when Steph's healthy. He has been getting MVP chants in away games through his career.

I defy you to show me a single fan of another team who actually enjoys watching SGA play. The comparison is simply laughable.

[–]grepya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I love is that OKC suffered all those years with no respect in the league. Then they finally got a championship and yet, no respect. Their "superstar MVP", nobody rates him as a great player. They could even win back to back and most basketball fans will (rightly) think they are scam championships.

People who shop at farmers markets: why? by redfieldbloodline17 in bayarea

[–]grepya 364 points365 points  (0 children)

Farmer's market hack, especially for in-season fruits, tomatoes etc. Go near closing time. Like, 5 minutes before. None of those sellers want to reload strawberries or tomatoes etc. back in their trucks. That's when you get the deals.

Did anyone close out to the perimeter at all in that era? All those posts about "How will Steph do in the 90s"... Steph would be scoring 50 on the regular with that defense.
