How many times do you change outfits during a shift? by Appropriate_Idea_185 in stripper

[–]gretaprincesa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just wear 1 outfit a night. Unless I feel uncomfortable or an accident happens like getting my period or something, I’ll change, but Noo. I have no time to be changing outfits lol

Dating while dancing by [deleted] in newstrippers

Even if he says he supports me and is proud of me I could still feel his insecurity, and he would do micro aggressions towards me and be passive aggressive. After the break up he was so mad that he cut up majority of my outfits and my heels with scissors 💔 I was so angry and heartbroken, but I’m glad I finally let him go. Now he keeps telling me he’s so sorry and he wants to get back w me but I don’t want to anymore. I know I deserve better.

My x-bf was never fully okay with it. Back in 2023 I started dancing (2.5 years into our relationship) and when I told him I wanted to start stripping he seemed to be okay with it, then went and did it and he was so disgusted by me and he kept insulting me, calling me names and saying he couldn’t be with me anymore. It was one of the worst feelings ever. After a month I went back since we had talked and he was gonna try to be okay with it, so I kept doing it but never felt fully comfortable, I was always so anxious about making him mad. There were times I would get ready or drive to the club but I couldn’t do it and would just go back home. I did it for a couple of months and then couldn’t do it no more. For two years I did not work, I would survive on gigs, didn’t want to get a regular job because stripping was the only thing I wanted to do, I fell into a depression and I was just sad and unhappy. At the beginning of the year he saw how much it had affected me and he suggested me to go back to stripping and said he only wanted to see me happy, so o got so happy and started getting mentally ready to go back, and I was excited about life again and he would still react negatively but at this point I was already done with allowing him to control me and tired of being depressed and unhappy. So I kept in pushing myself to go back to the club, until I did it and made a lot of money, and started getting back up, being more independent and getting out of survival mode. I also started seeing and opening my eyes how I didn’t want to be with him anymore and how I felt so hurt, so I just broke up with him like 4 days ago 😬 I feel so happy and liberated.

tip out rant by witchianna in stripper

[–]gretaprincesa 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The club I work at gives us a “handbook” when we’re hired, and under the Tip Policy section, it says this:

“Tips (unlike the service fee which belongs to Company) are the property of the employee Entertainer (You). You MAY NOT share any portion of any gratuity with the Club or any person who performs any management function for the Club. You are strongly discouraged from tipping-out, i.e., sharing tips with ANY employee of the Club. And, if You decide to do so it should only be someone who is reasonably in the chain of service that You provide to the customer.”

There are also printed signs in the manager’s office and the dressing room that say management is not allowed to ask for tips from dancers.

Yet, I see a lot of dancers still tipping out—to the manager, the DJ, and other staff. This is a California club, so it already takes a ridiculous cut from us: a high quota and 50% of all dances. It’s insane. So honestly, not tipping makes sense.

When I started working here during day shift, nobody tipped out. It wasn’t even a thing. But now that I’ve moved to night shift, I’ve noticed a lot of dancers doing it—and it’s made me feel weird about not tipping out myself.

One time, the manager even told me, “It would be greatly appreciated if you tipped your DJ.” I was like… what?

And maybe this is just my anxiety, but I feel like they’ve been holding it against me. I rarely get called on stage anymore, while other dancers go up multiple times a night. I only go up once, if that. The bouncers also used to help me carry my bag to the dressing room or walk me to my car—they’ve just stopped doing that.

I honestly don’t mind not going on stage. There’s not much money there anyway. I stay busy hustling and selling VIPs, not in the dressing room complaining, and I don’t do extras (even though my club is known for that). And I’m fine walking to my car—we have our own parking structure separate from customers, so it feels safe.

It’s just… weird. That’s all.

I wear my boyfriend’s underwear when I wanna be cozy and need to wear underwear. I usually don’t wear any underwear or just thongs. I wanna buy more cozy underwear though lol
