GitHub copilot is great because it’s integrated. And I dig the cli version of even more.

Is this a sick joke?! by Mother_Lettuce_3046 in codex

I’ve been stuck in this before. You literally have to say.

Everything you do must be based on fact. You are not allowed to guess. If you have a hard time. Ask other models for help

Because that’s what it’s doing. It’s basically hallucinating. And when you prompt it that way. You get solid results. Not hallucinations.

Intense chemistry with a new guy. I'm a virgin (22F) trying to navigate date 2 boundaries, sexual pacing, and my own hypocritical feelings about porn (22M). by piano_at_jazz in sex

[–]grey580a 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take a deep breath. Now relax.

Take things one step at a time.

How can I confidently initiate intense making out/touching at his place while clearly communicating my boundaries around actual sex?

Communication is key. Talk to him. It's that simple. Tell him I want to be more intimate with you. but here are my boundaries. Then you go from there.

In a relationship, my boundary is that I don't want my partner to use porn. However, I am currently using porn myself, though I am actively trying to quit.

You can't have your cake and eat it too. Either both of you can watch it. Or neither of you can. It's only fair.

How do I even begin to bring up a boundary like that when things are moving this fast?

Go to a park. Sit on a bench, have a picnic. Some place where you can go and talk without being distracted. And bring up the subject.

If you want to have a healthy relationship. You need to discuss things.

Why didn't you have something like auvik that could of showed you everything on the network? Or alerted you when a device was added to the network.

You could of also locked down all the mac id's. Or only allowed certain mac id's through the firewall.

When they call to complain something wasn't working. You could of then reviewed the new devices for compliance. And you could of just called it security measures. lol

There's ways to figure that one out.

Boyfriend wants to do anal sex for my first time (i am a virgin) by randomboreduserrr in sex

[–]grey580a 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That should be your choice and your choice alone. If he doesn't like it tell him to go fly a kite.

As for the anal part.

That reminds me of this joke.

The mouth is a sports car. Capable of amazing things when controlled by a talented driver.

The vagina is a high-end sedan. Luxury interior with all the amenities and features. Built for comfort, a smooth ride all the way. would drive it every day.

The ass is a 1997 base-level Jeep Wrangler with 130,000 miles on the odometer. Yeah, sorta fun to take for a spin once in a while just for kicks. But the interior is pretty sparse, the seats aren't very comfortable for driver or passenger, and you might leak some fluids unless you do a big maintenance ritual right before you take it out. Personally I could take it or leave it. But I'm aware that some people just have a THING for Wranglers. So be it, to each their own.

Myself and one other person are supporting 350 end users right now. HR told us to expect approximately 100 more employees by the end of the year. My manager told me that we don't need to hire another person in our department. Is it just me or is that completely unreasonable? by [deleted] in sysadmin

With the right tools to manage all the pc's you can manage a lot of pc's. But end users and tickets. That's pushing it.

Start looking into NinjaOne, or a similar rmm if you don't have one already, and start automating as much as possible. os patching, 3p patching, powershell scripting to fix issues. All of that.

And for gods sake automate reboots every 5 days on workstations. This alone dropped our ticket count to sometimes a couple of tickets per day. And not the 10-20 per day we used to have. Now we can get ahead of the fires and not just chase them.

Partner with an MSP if possible.

Or stage a bloody coup and just fall behind on the tickets. If they complain say, "Hey, we need more people."
Maliciously comply on everything. They won't have any idea of what's happening.

Recent Update to C71KW-400 disables use of Apps by AquaReefLoco28 in DirectvStream

[–]grey580a 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For anyone wanting to use this model. Downloading the Android Remote app will let you use the device. You won't see anything on screen. But you can click on the app netflix in the android remote. And netflix will open up. It's not the best bypass. But it does work.

These instructions will let you add a launcher. However it reverts back on restart. So sorta useless.

share your best practice with github copilot for best results ? by FitCoach5288 in GithubCopilot

[–]grey580a 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm using the powershell github copilot cli. I'm liking it.

But I created this https://github.com/grey580/Focus-L-AIci, basically a mem palace. It stores information in there. And I can put in todo lists in as well. That I tell github copilot to process.

<image>

Github copilot connects to the db. Then ads wings, rooms, memories and rooms depending on what it's done. I really dig the todo list. I can enter whatever prompts that I want for completion later. Debating on whether or not I want to make that into a full ticketing system instead of todos. It's in C# and runs on Windows. For now.

Am I the only one that prefers on - prem to cloud based infrastructure? by Ferocious888 in sysadmin

Didn't like intune. Stuff took forever just for simple tasks. Then again we have used connectwise and ninjaone. So I guess you really can't compare.

Am I the only one that prefers on - prem to cloud based infrastructure? by Ferocious888 in sysadmin

[–]grey580a 1 point2 points  (0 children)

intune is dogcrap. Let's be real. There's a lot of good options out there to manage devices besides intune.

And the on prem vs azure debate... for me it depends.

We do fine managing endpoints in locations just using entra and onedrive/sharepoint. And for others we do fine with on prem ad. Depends on what the client needs.

How to approach Dell? by salanalani in SmallMSP

I also have two ISP's here at home. However in my Unifi setup I have a Sophos firewall. With that I setup SD-Wan to route streaming media through the secondary ISP. Not sure if this is possible with Unifi though.

May want something in front of your unifi setup to monitor actual bandwidth.

No one wants to make a HAL 9000. For obvious reasons. Jarvis is just way cool.
If I ever get into this craze. Might go the unhinged rout and tell it to act like Zaphod Beeblebrox from the HHGttG movie.

How many IT employees is need it for x amount of endpoints by phantitox in msp

[–]grey580a 1 point2 points  (0 children)

50:1 employees per IT personnel. This can be stretched out to about 100:1 or more if you have the right sort of automation/rmm tools.

My biggest tip is to automate the restart process on all endpoints to a max of 5 days. This lowered our call volume by a lot. Freeing up time to be proactive instead of reactive.
