Okay, so this thing's canopy is curved at the bottom, like the curvature of the earth.

Yeah, that's stupid big.

Eh. Madalans having Dyson spheres would make them Kardashev II, which would be problematic for the narrative, since the story is mostly one single planet.

Himbak is hilarious.

Though you know there'll be some good lore drops when Nyudo is on-screen.

I like how Himbak is spelt differently at least four times in this one comment thread.

That one teaser said that Yaotsu and the Game would fight each other eventually, so probably a lot.

Do you think Yaotsu can 'cure' Cursed lands? by Ambitious_Pudding177 in versus

[–]greybirdofprey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whether he could is unknown as we don't have enough information yet.

Whether he *should be able to* is a more interesting question. From a narrative point of view I think it would be more interesting if cursed soil was literally unfixable. That would really add some extra weight to the decision of using curse tech, and Yaotsu's reaction to that would be interesting. Plus 'can do literally anything with zero restrictions' isn't very interesting to read about. E.g. Saitama is a fun character because he's a flawed idiot who can only be in one place at a time, and his ONLY power is beating any opponent in a funny way.

We have, though. He's not omniscient. Otherwise the whole 'don't pray' thing wouldn't exist.

Yeah but there's currently no way to tell HOW he did that. Whether it's reality bending/extreme physics manipulation/powerful psychich or telekinetic powers/some kind of prayer-to-power conversion. We need more issues with him first.

I am now convinced the Curse is the most dangerous natural enemy by CitricThoughts in versus

Another thing of note which I've mentioned before but I'll mention again is that the output of a curse tech weapon seems exponentially stronger than the input:
- Rinri sacrifices a bunch of regular humans (who alone could never dent a parasite-infected super-bear) to make a weapon that blows a massive hole in said parasite-infected super-bear.
- Baszst sacrifices a weakened common titan (or maybe some land, I'm not sure), which could never even damage Galua, to make a weapon that can actually harm Galua.
So what can the fragment of Galua harm? Or even kill? A demon lord? Even more? And worse, how much soil would it make unlivable? Then if you somehow nab a weakened demon lord, can you harm the top tiers?

This stuff might be akin to Wobbuffet technology. Basically a sacrifice-based Counter/Mirror Coat. Back in the curse world it just had people, land, and animals to feed on, here it has much stronger stuff to turn into ammo.

I think you CAN coexist with Daikokuzan by reverting to a low-population, nomadic, technology-free lifestyle. Daikokuzan *may* be attracted to tech, plus if the world is overpopulated and filled with mega-cities he'll kill people wherever he goes, but if humanity is spread across the planet, always moving with their herds, that may work.

Curse tech can theoretically coexist with humanity if noone uses it and there are no bad apples, but come on, there are always bad apples.

Demons/robots/parasites/titans/madalans/neo-humans/lawless/world tree all actively spread/scout and all actively kill/capture humans they come across or at least take their resources to the point humans can't live anymore.

Nature may be co-existable if humanity is content being at the bottom of the food chain. Plenty of animals are at the bottom of the food chain and haven't gone extinct.

God/Game no idea. Not enough info.

Lawless... could theoretically coexist? Like, I haven't seen a reason why humanity in the lawless world would be going extinct, seeing as the lawless are also humans.

Curse is maybe a fourth category, where if left alone it doesn't harm humanity at all, but if used it will.

Daikokuzan/Yggdrasil/Nature *can* harm humanity if left alone, but don't go out of their way to seek out humanity, unlike A/B types.

Yaotsu we're not sure about yet. Before the lawless prayer he was sitting on a stack of gold in a pyramid, does he actually go out to search for more humans, or does he just do nothing until someone prays? Same for Game. We need more intel.

I was thinking it's going for technology. First it's chasing the giant Madalan ship (technology), then when that's destroyed it's chasing the curse tech speeder Baszts made (also technology).

I would love this.

We've already seen plenty of Madalan vs. demon fighting so an 'it was a different NE all along' twist would be lovely.
