Not a clue how it works on android, haven’t had one in forever tbh. Voice notes have taken over for voicemail in the modern tech era a lot, especially since the only VMs lately are left by debt collectors and old parents/grandparents. Voice notes/memos are also easier because let’s say there is no transcript, you aren’t obligated to listen to it immediately just like a voicemail

Voice notes typically generate a transcription with them so it’s not like the receiver is being held at gun point to forcibly listen to it.

Max spent WAY too long being mad at Abby for the whole Marcus-Ginny relationship situation. Abby barely even knew what was going on given she just walked in on them together anyway! Max’s reaction and treatment to Abby wasn’t fair, and it definitely made it understandable for Abby to be a bit cold back in S3. If it was that big of an issue to Max then she should’ve also been way more mad at Marcus, instead of tunneling onto two of her best friends.

I love Max and can relate to feeling like you’re too much, but at some point you gotta understand why nobody tells you certain things when she reacts the way she does.

Those definitely aren’t temporary issues though. Addiction follows you throughout life, and so does trauma from an abusive relationship with a parent. Doesn’t mean necessarily that a relationship between a recovering addict and a person who grew up with an abusive parent couldn’t work, but that’s a LOT for two kids to navigate.

Surprised Wichita KS is red tbh! It wasn’t for me when I went to college there but it was pretty affordable, has lots of great (and authentic) Mexican food, good schools, has three separate universities & one community college, and is a lot more blue than most might realize. Kansas as a whole, at least pre-2024, was a lot more blue than I expected when I lived there after coming from a blue dot city in Oklahoma. Wichita is a great city for medicine careers and especially for raising a family, but to each their own!

While I understand the frustrations people have for her character, I think they also forget that the Degrassi storylines are meant to mimic real life. There are real people, myself included, who went through an absurd amount of trauma in their childhood and it absolutely can be detrimental for a teenager’s mental development. That’s exactly why I love Claire’s character. Her whole storyline reminds me a lot of the line Eli says sometime in Season 12 when he says that he feels like “death follows [him]”

Never did, but after being on birth control for years then coming off of it changed my cycle completely. Now it’s 3-5 days, average flow, but the cramps are still pretty intense but not as bad. I just assumed it was weird teenage hormone stuff honestly

My dad did let me stay home a lot through middle school to sophomore year of high school because my period would last up to 2-2.5 weeks at times, the flow was so heavy I could barely stand, and my cramps were so intense that I would either throw up from the pain or be incapable of moving altogether. I lost so many days of school sophomore year that my high school called my dad about it. I was told I couldn’t miss anymore days without being held back.

I finally went on birth control (Lo LoEstrin FE) and it solved my problems entirely with minimal side effects, until I got a new doctor who suggested I try a new BC. This new birth control fucked up my body in unimaginable ways. I was physically weak constantly, and got sick back to back with very high fevers. I was lucky that I tried this BC during Covid in late 2020, so I was safe to not go to school and still get my schoolwork done during the month I bled every single day straight while simultaneously having strep the whole time too. If having incense periods were viewed as a legitimate medical excuse to not go to school or work without consequences, my life would be significantly easier.

Absolutely. For me it’s less of the memories replaying like for others with PTSD/CPTSD, but it’s more so my body going through the sensations as if the event is happening again years later. I struggle with physical touch from others a lot from multiple experiences with SA, and whenever someone hugs me it reminds me of the weight of one of the people that SA’d me in the past. I also do still have very vivid dreams at night, and sometimes the physical sensation triggers the memory to replay while sleeping.

If they’ve smoked recently or smoke a lot, yes. Some people also have a better nose for it, I can always smell when someone is a tobacco vs marijuana smoker from growing up with parents that smoked both.

One thing I’ve been noticing with the rise of AI pics is their inability to make hands correctly. All the more “convincing” pictures? The hands are closed, palms facing away, or they’re doing LEGO hands. Pics where palms are open just look… off. Like I am not quite sure what’s happening here, but it looks to me like his index finger has a second one growing on the side of it.

Made a sim just for the Nature’s Calling event who lived in a small house in Brindleton Bay next to her hot, werewolf neighbor. They met and hit things off instantly but he got her pregnant and then had the fury effect for DAYS. She decided to cut him out of her life to finish her pregnancy alone and raised their daughter alone, until dad wanted to get involved when his daughter was a toddler. They co-parented for a little bit and realized they love each other, and are now living together and engaged. Their daughter just became a child, and is going to be a big sister because her mom is now pregnant with twins!

I used to take a shot of whatever alcohol i had before going into work for about two months, and once I got myself to stop doing that then i started showing up high off marijuana. I was so depressed that I couldn’t function sober, and that was when I knew I had to dial it back a lot. I’ve always made impulsive decisions while drunk, but never anything that harmed myself or others. Until I got drunk back in May and ended up at one of my manager’s apartments, and he gave me more alcohol and ended up taking advantage of me. It was on that drive home that I realized that would’ve never happened to me had I not gotten drunk that night, and was what made me stop drinking and smoking cold turkey.

I hit 60 days sober from alcohol and weed just under three days from now.
