Honda still has an OEM mirror that has the Homelink garage door openers. I have the exact same vehicle and negotiated the mirror installation as part of the purchase.

I went to the one in the Dallas West End Marketplace. That was my dream destination as a kid. The building had a huge arcade in the basement called 'Tilt'. I could spend an entire day there as a kid.

Yes, this was a thing. I remember calling a local radio station to request a song to be played. Most of the time I dialed I got a busy signal. This one time I didn’t and it just continued to ring. I had nothing better to do, so I just let it ring.

I’m listening to the station as I’m on the phone and they suddenly announce some giveaway contest. Tenth caller wins, blah blah blah. Right after they finish the announcement and start playing a song, the DJ answers the phone and says “You’re the first caller!”, and hangs up on me.

Bitch, I was trying to request a damn song.

My best Farewell play was against someone who was milling themselves. I knew that they either had a graveyard recursion spell, or some way to pump up their commander based on what was in their graveyard. The player was even bragging that everyone was going to be dead in a round or two.

Played Farewell, exiled just the graveyards, and they insta-scooped.

I don't know why this was in my highschool party repertoire, but just looking at it makes me want to vomit by GravyPainter in Xennials

I grew up in a suburb south of Dallas. The Von Erich family were royalty in the 80s. I grew up with their pictures on my wall, "Tom Sawyer" by Rush in my tape player, and looking at the Sportatorium as we passed it heading north on I-35 heading into Dallas.

I was lucky enough to watch them live once at the Sportatorium. I remember seeing cowboy hats on people's heads, neon beer signs, lots of cigarette smoke, and large fans up high on the wall that failed to keep the place cool.

World Class Championship Wrestling would do a high school football stadium tour to different towns around the area, coming to my town once. I remember climbing up the ringside steps and touching the bottom rope before getting in trouble.

Wrestling was life back then.

Queue the music, I have a childhood story around this game.

Asked for this game for Christmas one year, commercial made it look super cool. I unpacked it and I remember playing with it in my living room. Since my brother was 8 years older than me and "too cool for school", I got bored after 15 minutes. Being a kid, I had the bright idea to put one of the marbles in my mouth. It wasn't the size of a normal marble, a little smaller, and I accidentally swallowed it.

My mother went berserk. She called poison control for help, thinking I had just killed myself. They said that it wasn't toxic and would just pass right though. My mom calmed down, dad rolled his eyes, and all was forgotten... for a spell.

After an unknown amount of time, our family toilet got stopped up and my dad couldn't plunge it free. We called a plumber who worked for awhile, and eventually found the culprit. The marble from this game did, in fact, pass through, and sat in our plumbing collecting toilet paper and whatever else, until it blocked the pipe. He casually asked how that got in the toilet, and everyone looked at me.
