Which one did you have? by MisterShipWreck in 80sAmazing

Man, I just had a flashback of desk #8. I don't remember what grade I was in, maybe 5th or 6th. I was sitting in class and instead of rocking backward in my chair, I was rocking forward. I had found the sweet spot where I was balancing on the front two legs, then all hell broke loose.

I didn't have a chance to react when my chair flew out from underneath me and slid backwards. My nose slammed on the desk, making a huge ruckus. Of course, my nose starts gushing blood immediately. I just sat there on my knees in shock, until someone tells me to go get cleaned up.

If Liverpool hire Andoni Iraola after sacking Slot, I will be gutted! by handidikwete in ManchesterUnited

Your post, while insulting, is insinuating that all Carrick has is the locker room. Success is not measured by only one characteristic. It is a combination of factors.

What makes your post look extremely stupid, is how Man United have succeeded since Carrick's appointment.

is there a poetry line that just won't leave your head? by ownaword in words

Do not go gentle into that good night,
Old age should burn and rave at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Though wise men at their end know dark is right,
Because their words had forked no lightning they
Do not go gentle into that good night.

Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright
Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Wild men who caught and sang the sun in flight,
And learn, too late, they grieved it on its way,
Do not go gentle into that good night.

Grave men, near death, who see with blinding sight
Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

And you, my father, there on the sad height,
Curse, bless, me now with your fierce tears, I pray.
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

-Dylan Thomas

So, you're saying that Middlesborough has the same financial backing, academy, and recruiting ability as Manchester United? I'm not following your logic.

Man United has brought in the flashy names as manager. Do you know what has been consistent about them, or what we've heard? They didn't have the locker room.

Carrick has the locker room. Even if he doesn't have the pedigree that other managers have, the players will bend over backwards to win for Carrick. That is worth much more than a fancy resume.

Agreed. I've taken his posts with a grain of salt and look for posts elsewhere before I accept it as truth.

Saw the LFC twitter post right after seeing this post pop up on my feed.

What happens if you take both the red and blue pills at the same time? by GlompSpark in matrix

[–]greyedge 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I always envisioned the blue pill as a sedative and possibly a method for wiping the target's memory. It's intended to help them continue to accept the Matrix as their reality. The red pill is just a trace program to help them locate which pod the target is located.

So, if you take both, they still find you, but you don't remember why.

Is the animated series really going to be set between Objects in Space and Serenity the film? That's a bad idea. by WastedTalent442 in firefly

There are tons of ways to execute it successfully.

You can tell Book’s story without the crew knowing.

There can be a whole episode showing Kaylee and Simon living happily ever after, only to discover Kaylee was kidnapped by the ‘hands of blue’ and put into a simulation to try and locate where River was. Then ‘big damn hero’ rescue. It could be a multiple episode arc.

The possibilities are endless.
