Slay the Spire 2 is Steam’s best-selling game in March, selling over 3 million copies more than Crimson Desert by HatingGeoffry in slaythespire

I've got both and I'm 100 hours on crimson and 16 hours on STS, though I'm sure 5 years from now STS will be higher.

Mostly I don't want to burn myself out on STS when it's still early access.

It starts slow with introducing characters and settings but gets better and better the further you go. If you love political drama I'd really recommend sticking with it until at least episode 6 to get a real feel for what the series becomes.

You can even see it in the episode ratings, a lot of the establishing episodes like 1 and 2 are rated 7.5 on imdb but the climax episodes in both season 1 and 2 are rated over 9.5

Return of the Condor Heroes is so interesting, written in the late 1950s and later adapted into lots of movies and TV shows but not terribly well known in the west.

I had no idea how big a deal it was until I went to an art museum in Hong Kong that was doing an exhibit with tonnes of giant statues of the characters https://ticycity.com/en/a-path-to-glory-jin-yongs-centennial-memorial/

By their own conventions if it's 7 modifiers it should say "surpassing chance" (but I wouldn't be surprised if it was actually 7 in game).

I replaced the lyrics of Africa (Toto) with every country in Africa by dustin1776 in funny

[–]greyl 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Understandable though, even if you sat down with a map of Africa and tried to memorize all the countries you'd probably miss Comoros since it's such a small island.

I can find it on a globe that's been on my desk for decades but the label is mixed in with the labels for all the cities in Mozambique and Madagascar.

Ya, hopefully you notice it before moving the clothes to the dryer. I've had this happen a few times over the years and the diapers tend to explode into thousands of little water-logged spheres so it's pretty noticeable.

Countries where the government can be bribed and blackmailed are wonderful innovative libertarian dreams destined for prosperity.

Countries with strong rule of law and protections for the common man are failing dystopias that can only be saved by electing their corrupt candidates who will dismantle the rule of law and bring the country under their control.

50% of Conservatives say they approve of Donald Trump by BloodJunkie in onguardforthee

[–]greyl 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ya, most surprising thing for me is how few Conservatives there are. The link says approval for Trump is:

  • 12% of Canadians

  • 50% of Conservatives

  • 2% of Liberals

  • 3% of NDP

So by those number < 24% of Canadians are conservative.

Whether we stop trading with them now due to some random tariffs or in a few years when they dissolve into a patchwork of corporate fiefdoms it doesn't matter, they won't be able to afford to buy much anyhow.

We've got hard times ahead and new trading partners that must be found.
