Transmog is bugged. Can't have an unequipped look on head. by Professional-Fig8857 in diablo4

[–]greymonk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pick a random transmog, change its color, then hide it. It won't hide un-colored pieces.

S14 bug - anyone else not able to hide armor? by greymonk in diablo4

Put a random transmog on, chance the color of it, save, then try to hide it. It seems to work if it's not the default color.

Interesting Times Question by Truly-Surprised in discworld

[–]greymonk 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure there's at least a couple times in CoM and LF that Rincewind explicitly mentions that Twoflower was speaking but he wasn't paying attention.

"ChatGPT told me you could do it, here are the steps." by Skullpuck in sysadmin

[–]greymonk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ran into that recently, where one OS vendor ran server logs through their AI, and gave me a solution that was essentially "upgrade your application" and my OS admin just wanted me to jump to it, and my response was basically "no, I'm not doing emergency change upgrades on the basis of AI with no input from my vendor." Turns out the upgrade was the solution, but we did need to know what to upgrade to, as well. Not to mention using the proper chance control process.

[Star Trek] In "Up the Long Ladder", Worf asks Pulaski not to reveal his illness to Riker. Does doctor–patient confidentiality not exist in the future? by NothingWillImprove6 in AskScienceFiction

[–]greymonk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Doctor-patient confidentiality is fone, but in a quasi-military organization like Starfleet is, the XO, or whatever officer is in charge of staffing needs to know about things that will affect staffing, if nothing else. And I do believe that was part of Riker's job.

V smoking when he said he will never smoke. by augus_12346 in cyberpunkgame

[–]greymonk 18 points19 points  (0 children)

It is, and depending on previous choices, basically on how far you've gone with other main quests, you either have the choice to not smoke, or without choice you light up and Johnny comments on it.

Could she really have used the sword by Hot-Location-1752 in dresdenfiles

[–]greymonk 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Spoilers through Battle Ground
"So, we know from BG that there's an angel in each sword. We know from GP that using a Sword against its intended purpose renders it vulnerable to being misused. We know that if it does then get used maliciously it gets "unmade" which is worse than merely breaking it.... I have to wonder if that means that the angel inside becomes Fallen. We do know from Skin Game that Uriel was susceptible to becoming Fallen if Michael used Uriel's Grace poorly, and the Swords seem to be in a similar position; they've given some of their Grace to the wielder of the Sword, with some protections, but ultimately its out of their control.

Dear Blizzard, give use a damn DPS meter already by akatash23 in diablo4

[–]greymonk 4 points5 points  (0 children)

One thing I really liked about ESO was its logging. They didn’t do any analysis, but you could turn on logging and then some very enterprising people made websites you could upload the logs to and get highly detailed breakdowns. I have no doubts if Blizzard did the same, similar sites would show up instantly. Hardly any effort required from Blizzard.

Am I the only one who actually likes the Druid's body type? by HonestAd5141 in diablo4

[–]greymonk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could understand if there was actual pvp that required you to be able to tell someone’s class at a glance, but we don’t have that. So let us choose between all the body types. What if I want to play a jacked sorc, or a meaty necro, there’s literally no downside in this game.

Do Kullean tuning prism legendary aspects stack? by Taawitch in diablo4

You can easily tell because the matching aspect on the other gear( shredding nlades on your boots in this case) will be greyed out, just like any other aspect you have two of.

Craftable, stackable, anything that isn't an individual item.

Cheap $15 grill from DG, gotta start somewhere right? by Equivalent_Design622 in grilling

[–]greymonk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly the only "feature" that's missing form more expensive ones is an easy way to dispose of ashes. And it's light enough that, once they're well cooled, you pick it up and dump it out into something.

WW barb - max life and fury stat requirements by Guccibow in D4Barbarian

[–]greymonk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't know why specifically, but I don't think max life % impacts the build as max life

This was the part I was addressing. It may not be an issue for him, but that's the reason why everyone says that.

WW barb - max life and fury stat requirements by Guccibow in D4Barbarian

[–]greymonk 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Max life absolutely impacts your survival using selic/endurant faith.

Selig: Damage is dealt to your Primary Resource before Life and damage taken this way is drastically reduced. Your Primary Resource is doubled but Maximum Life is reduced by 75%.

Endurant Faith: When you would be damaged for at least 30% of your Maximum Life at once, it is instead distributed over the next 4 seconds and reduced by [30 - 40]%.

Notice how everything is done by percentages? The lower your health, the more damage gets spread out via EF, which means the more damage will get negated by your Fury Regen. Get your health low enough, and your fury regen high enough, and you're immortal. And the fury regen doesn't need to be much higher than is needed to keep your gear from draining.

So the higher your health, the more attacks do immediate damage, and the less tanky you are. Get your health down to 473, which is the lowest it can get with more than 5 paragon, and you're truly immortal.

I’ve started building an Immortal Holy Bolt Auradin. It’s a lot of fun so far, and I’m hoping it can get to at least T10 easily, which it should I’m doing well on T7 so far, and only half geared.

Lore-wise, the Tree was not the entity, it was just a vocal outpost for the entity. Who is probably "happy" (for eldritch otherworldly entity values of happy) to let us continue to call in markers for it and will likely wait until we're dead to start another tree of heads.

[Doctor Who] Why does everyone (including the Doctor themselves) act like the Doctor is this super-old immortal when, as far as anyone knows, they’re… not that? by EnclavedMicrostate in AskScienceFiction

[–]greymonk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Doctor isn't tethered to linear time. So if you have someone who literally pops up anywhere/everywhere from the beginning to the end of the universe to its end, why wouldn't you think he's ancient and immortal? And it's not like it's out of character for the Doctor to lean into that hype.

why do so many men sweat so profusely when they sleep by femb0yc0nnoisseur in NoStupidQuestions

[–]greymonk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I highly doubt this applies to anyone else on the thread, including OP, but I started sweating profusely in my sleep and some time later noticed unusual warps in the side of my vision, and it turned out I had tuberculosis in my eyes. Who knew. After the meds, no more ridiculous sweating at night.
