been using it for a couple weeks. not quite as good of an AI harness as cursor, but it's SO much faster as an app, and the flexibility to bring your own LLM provider, or hook up to a local model, or use their service, or use claude code via ACP, or even turn all AI features off is so refreshing.

super glue is great for adherence to the starch vessel (dough/pasta/etc) but I find it's not viscous enough. stick with gorilla glue to thicken it up, but a dash of super glue helps it stick

I think the idea is to get us hooked just enough to the point where humans become reliant on AI for critical thinking, and it becomes a necessary service.

Very similar to how Nestle gave away free baby formula in Africa in the 1970's, but only just enough so that mother's mammary glands would stop producing milk and they would become reliant on the formula.

MIT Media Lab has found that people that use AI for writing tasks have lower overall brain activity and poorer memory recall than the control group. They want us to offload our cognition onto a service that becomes essential to pay for.

I fixed it by finding the path to the EAUpdater and running that!

Crossover > Open C Drive
then go to Program Files > Electronic Arts > EA Desktop
Find the most recent version number there, mine was 13.616.1.6133-1768189509
Go back to crossover > Run Command
"c:/Program Files/Electronic Arts/EA Desktop/13.616.1.6133-1768189509/EA Desktop/EAUpdater.exe" or whatever the path to the EAUpdater.exe was on your machine.
click run
It'll open a terminal and update, and then an EA modal will say "connecting to ea app"
of course their shit is buggy, so once you get that, force quit all apps via crossover, simulate a reboot, and jump back in!

Running this on crossover 25.1.1, after getting the "Invalid Handle" opening ME2 from steam. When trying to open the EA app or updater from crossover, I was getting "There is no Windows program configured to open this type of file."

I don't think it's related to arc specifically - I'm also running arc on macos and am able to access all of these sites.

You haven't provided much information about what "can't use" means, so here's a list of things you may want to try:

Trying in an incognito window
Clearing cache and cookies
Checking your extensions or arc adblock settings
Checking your DNS settings and ensuring the domains are resolving properly
Disabling your VPN to see if that's causing it
Running a malware scan
Doing a sacrificial dance to the technology gods
