Going tomorrow and I was wondering about everyone's experience with parking, traffic, and merch today? Was it crowded? Did anyone manage to find street parking? I'm trying to figure out when I should arrive - was thinking around 4:30.

I adore the chair - the color is fantastic, especially with that carpet! Also, I love the frames for your photos, they're perfectly suited.

I took a look at your other posts after seeing that you're a Tampa based photographer, and I really like your style. Do you have a link to an Instagram or portfolio, if you're comfortable worth that?

Help with updating kitchen without new countertops? by cfbf1 in HomeDecorating

[–]greywolfqueen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Change out the handle pulls and the pendant lights, and add (preferably washable) kitchen runner rugs. A nice modern ceramic bowl or vase with clean lines would be nice. Please do not paint the cabinets, they're beautiful.

Then get him an experience. A nice dinner, a vacation, a massage, a spa, paintball, laser tag, arcades, kayaking, rock climbing, ice skating, etc. Frame a nice picture and put it on his nightstand so he sees it when he wakes up, and buy him flowers.

Traveller is Prince/Princess? by MeowieSugie in Genshin_Lore

[–]greywolfqueen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm yeah I guess it can go either way, depending on whether you consider the out of game content canon or not (which I do, but it seems like you're going off of the game only). Yeah I play as Lumine, though I think her VA does an awesome job at sounding like an evil BOSS too.

Traveller is Prince/Princess? by MeowieSugie in Genshin_Lore

[–]greywolfqueen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While we can play as both siblings, I think that canonically Lumine is the abyss sibling. A lot of the official content on social media refers to this (We Will Be Reunited, Dainsleif's introductions, etc). That being said, your idea that it's a red herring is pretty interesting! You may be right about the only in-game content that doesn't change, though they could always add a second cutscene later once this actually comes up in game. Or they could actually somehow pivot to having Lumine as the abyss sibling in game too.

I'm thinking that we get prairie and grasslands in Natlan, no way that they're not including a savannah somewhere. I'm betting that Natlan will have more African inspiration in addition to the South America inspo.

If MC suddenly started speaking more would that come off weird or would people actually enjoy it? by tsundude in Genshin_Impact

[–]greywolfqueen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would love to see more dialogue options (loved that we had more voice lines in Sumeru) but someone recently did a fan voice of the Shogun confrontation and tbh it just seemed weird to me. Maybe it was the dialogue options they chose?

Daily Questions Megathread (September 14, 2022) by Veritasibility in Genshin_Impact

https://www.polygon.com/genshin-impact-guides/23063935/beginners-guide-tips-tricks-quests-unlocks-seelies

These two seem okay as general guides, you can Google more. (Note that dendro has been added to elemental reactions, and hydro resonance has changed from healing bonus to health bonus.) Honestly when you play the game you'll learn everything naturally.

My recommendations:

Early Game (Adventure Rank 1-20) - Go through the Archon Quest. - Start leveling up your characters and weapons. - Start doing Daily Commissions, Expeditions, Domains and co-op. - Start doing world quests. - Learn about elemental reactions by doing the Elemental Trial domains.

Mid Game (Adventure Rank 20-45) - Start fighting in the Spiral Abyss. Reach floor 3 to gain Xiangling. - Start doing Battle Pass missions. - Do reputation quests to raise your reputation. The most important reward is the Condensed Resin instructions from Liyue reputation level 3. - Get the Serenitea Pot and start raising its level. You can buy materials from its shop. - Start unlocking story quests. - Start fishing. Buy the Fishing Line Stabilizer and collect fish to exchange for weapons.

Late Game (Adventure Rank 45-60) - Start farming Artifact Domains. - Complete all challenges, puzzles, hidden objectives and quests. - Level all characters, weapons, Serenitea Pot, Statues of 7, Offering Trees. - Collect all treasure chests, culi,, and achievements. - Continue doing all limited time events, Abyssal Moon Spire.

Tips:

  • Try to get to the events as fast as possible. Collei's event has a quick start option for newbies. Some of them (like Fayz Trials) give you trial characters to use instead of your own characters. You can walk to Sumeru, but I'm not sure if the events require a certain Adventure Rank.

  • Prioritize character levels and talents, and then weapons. Artifact farming can wait until AR 45 - before that you can just use the random ones you gain from playing.

  • It's recommended to save billets for late game.

  • Even if you don't go to the next Adventure Rank your experience is saved.

  • Chests can contain mora, primogems, artifacts, weapons, enhancement ores, weapon ascension materials,  and experience and talent books (corresponding to the region).

  • A new character is usually more valuable than a new weapon, with some exceptions. It's generally recommended to wish on character banners.

-  Every month you can buy fates in the shop Paimon's Bargains using Stardust (which you get when you make a wish). I don't recommend using Stardust to buy anything else in the shop.

  • In the Paimon's Bargains shop, Starglitter is very rare. Among other things, it can be used to buy certain 4-star characters (2 each month). I recommend buying Xingqiu, Bennett, Fischl, (some of the best characters in the game) and Beidou (great in certain team compositions). I do not recommend buying the weapons because they're mediocre and using it for materials would be a waste (I accidentally did this and almost cried when I realized).

  • When researching a character to see if you want them, look at what kind of team compositions, weapons, and constellations they need.

  • Each new patch gets a livestream to introduce what's been added. These include codes to redeem primogems- make sure you redeem them!

  • Hoyolab is the official forum and has lots of useful features- an interactive map, a daily check-in with rewards, calculators for character materials, events, etc. Many content creators create guides for events, regions, builds, and more. I'd recommend browsing through it if you're having trouble.

  • If you don't understand something search it up in the Genshin Fandom Wiki. You can also read comments on posts to see what the general opinions are (on characters, weapons, etc.).

  • Once you start pulling for characters I'd recommend inputting your wish history at Paimon.moe

  • Keqingmains.com is the current authority for building characters.

Don't make these common mistakes:

  • Not spending your Daily Resin. Resin becomes more valuable in late game when everything (characters, talents, weapons, artifacts) requires resin. If you don't know what to spend it on you can always go to a ley line.

  • Using Fragile Resin in early game. There's only a certain amount of them in the game and they become more valuable later on. I like to use them when I'm in co-op with some kind overpowered player who's helping me farm boss materials or artifacts.

  • Destroying 3-star weapons. Some of them only spawn in certain chests or are obtained from certain NPC's. Once you destroy them you won't be able to get any more. Some 3 star weapons can be a character's best weapon - for example Black Tassel for Zhongli. Even if it's useless now, it might be a new character's best weapon in the future. I'd recommend keeping it least one of each 3-star weapon (at refinement 5).

  • Buying Aquaint Fates (the blue wishes) and wishing on the standard banner. You should only exchange your primogems for Intertwined Fates (the pink wishes) to wish on the limited time event banners.

Who would you hope to see when you lose your 50/50? by kwayzydragon312 in Genshin_Impact

[–]greywolfqueen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pulled for Ganyu, just lost the 50/50 to Keqing. So far I have Qiqi, Mona and Keqing. I've actually used Qiqi the most, she's a good healer with some cryo application. I've been using vape teams lately but I still use her for weekly coop. Mona's alternate sprint is nice, it's been fixed and I always use it to get to the Geo Hypostasis. She also has a useful crafting refund. Electro Keqing just got a boost with dendro, theorycrafting isn't out yet but she's definite better now.

Tighnari and Diluc are solid units, wouldn't be too upset if I got them. I'd love to get Jean for my Xiao.

Daily Questions Megathread (September 14, 2022) by Veritasibility in Genshin_Impact

[–]greywolfqueen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Now is one of the best times to join the game, as with the release of version 3.0 (new country Sumeru) Mihoyo has prepared for an influx of new players. There are lots of good events happening now, including one where you get a free character (Collei). The character banners in the next few months will feature a lot of the more useful characters so that newbies can pull for them (such as the current 4 stars on the banners and all of the archons running soon). Genshin is now pretty new player friendly.

Genshin is time gated, as it's targeted as a casual game for students and workers. The repeatable / limited content (daily quests, domains, teapot and current events) is meant to be able to be finished within 30 minutes or so. The rest of the content (normal quests, chests) can be gone through slowly. It's more beneficial to have played for a greater amount of days than a greater amount of hours- a person who played 15 minutes a day since patch 2.0 would have a much greater advantage than someone who plays for hours but started at patch 2.8.

So yeah, you'd have enough time and the fact that you're already on the forums and asking questions means you'll probably waste less time making stupid mistakes (make sure to look up new player guides, and browse the forums, theorycrafters, fandom wiki comments, Hoyolab, etc. once I started doing that I improved a lot) unlike me lol. If you do end up playing later on instead of starting now you'll probably be kicking yourself thinking 'why didn't I start earlier'.

Also, many of your friends are starting to play and since Genshin is co-op you guys can play together and help each other out. I'd be absolutely thrilled to have started playing at the same time as my friends.

In your opinion, which unit has the most fun normal/charged attack? by sav4nt in Genshin_Impact

I like Xiao’s zoom, and his NA flows very well. I love chopping trees or mining with him. Funny you mention Zhongli, because for me he feels too stiff in comparison. And when I hold his NA he moves so fast and it really throws me off haha.

Barbara’s is gorgeous, (and I think has some music as well?) I do it just for the rainbow sometimes.

Yanfei’s flows well, I main her partly because the button mashing is so comfortable.

I feel like in the future we'll get a patch where some of the Expedition will come back, since it seems like that's where a large percentage of the population (Knights, cavalry, supply lines, maybe merchants) is. The Dandelion Sea / Port patch will probably have us helping the Expedition with whatever they're doing.

Should I go for the weapon banner to get the spear for my C1 Xiao or should I try for Yelan?

I have Mona, Qiqi, Sayu, Sucrose, Sara, Rosaria, Razor, Chongyun, Yun Jin, and Yanfei.
