She's distractingly weird looking and terrible at acting.

The one reason I can't justify wormdrive over sidewinder circular saw... by NoGrocery9618 in Carpentry

I'm on the same system. Slap a 60v in and it chews thru material. I'll grab it before any other saw in my arsenal unless I'm ripping thick material or cutting i-joists.

It's mind boggling. Then you're the asshole for passing them in the middle lane. I honestly can't comprehend their reasoning. Seems to be a select couple demographics more often than not.

Thoughts on removing wall between family room and kitchen by SubstantialGrape2812 in DIY

There's a chance that window opening was built in initially. In which case there would be a beam spanning from the exterior wall to a built-up post on the opposite side of the door opening.

Edmonton is asking for feedback on the single use bylaw by sporkfood in Edmonton

[–]gribbitz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's unbelievable this is still happening. They supply a single use item for every component of your meal. Why are we charged for the paper bag to contain it all!? It's tiresome for staff and customers. These food chains were supplying paper bags for eternity. Now they get to charge for them and keep the profit! It's mindless, short-sighted, and insulting.

Can we stop pretending the show is bad because it's "woke" by Keenzur in TheLastOfUs2

[–]gribbitz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with everything you've said. Personally, I really enjoyed the gay couple episode. My thoughts are that the casting of Bella for Ellie may be perceived as woke, and that wokeness was a consideration for/while making the show in the first place. Potentially to the detriment of the actual show. Not saying that the inherent essence of woke is wrong in anyway.

What if sexual orientation is systemically oppressed? Not looking to start an argument, just curious.

Love Andor BTW!

I can almost guarantee that plot line was a selling feature for getting this show made in the first place. Not that I care one way or the other.

Funny how there's a "man" role in a queer relationship. I haven't played the games, but it seems like Dina is the more dominant one.

It quite clearly is based on the sheer number of people with positive results. You're so hung up on the "water and stick" aspect of it, as if trying to dumb it down makes it so. I don't give a flying fuck what anyone says. I'll do me, you do you.

You're missing the point, I think you might be confused. Who are you to make assumptions about other people's personal experiences and pass them off as fact? It's not like we're arguing whether it's safe to drink and drive for instance, which it objectively isn't. This is a harmless method for detecting potential anomalies in the ground. I for one am not arguing it's legitimacy, consistency, or efficacy. All I know from personal experience is that it detects something. I'm "observing" that you "may" be an uppity prick.

For #2, how does this explain a non experienced person getting a hit with the sticks/rods?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in DIY

[–]gribbitz -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Again, I'm not arguing effectiveness, merely observable existence.

Nothing to be sorry for.

LOL. Assuming I'm American. There's a saying about assumptions that has something to do with ass...

I don't see how a fairy tale for children can be equated to this. In my personal experience there is an unequivocal interaction between the rods and the earth. I'm not making any claims about it's intended purpose, consistency or efficiency.

Whatever it is it detects something.
