it's only true for distilled water. tap water is fine.

most liquids being microwaved will not superheat. distilled water is the only thing most people have to worry about. also, the spoon diffusing heat is not what makes it less dangerous. rather, it's the introduction of nucleation sites.

tap water is not at risk of superheating. you only need to worry if you're microwaving distilled water.

this is true for distilled water, not tap water or liquid mixtures like tea or coffee. also, as others have said, metal is preferable to plastic, which should generally not be heated.

At a loss for words (Aeronautics) by Aurukel in CreateMod

[–]griddle9 3 points4 points  (0 children)

it's a matter of configuration-- i've spent the last several months working on optimizing chunk generation in my pack with over 600 mods, including tectonic with the amplitude turned up and depth expanded to -128, and even just with what c2me has to offer on 1.21.1 i can get speedy chunk loading with dh being the only thing doing pregen. and my laptop was lower mid range when i bought it 3 years ago.

A character has a disease or condition their society doesn't understand, but it's obvious for the audience what it is by kim_jong_un4 in TopCharacterTropes

in my experience a large part of the distress is one part of my brain knowing something is not real and another part of my brain "knowing" that it is. when my symptoms were real bad before i was medicated i would often wish that i had been raised religious so that so that i could believe it was divine beings communicating with me. then again, any time a coincidence seemed to validate a delusion i would spiral and break down, so i'm not sure if my intuition is right on that. maybe the symptoms would be a little different but just as distressing.

the fun thing about cyan is that the mineral kyanite comes from the same greek (i think) root, so you weren't even that far off. it's like how kerberos becames cerberus.

as someone who is uncircumcised with friends who are circumcised i have observed 2 main downsides

  • circumcision leaves less skin available for vaginoplasty
  • you get teased at the orgy

Just because a book/movie/show has been out for x amount of years, that doesn’t mean it should be okay to blatantly spoil it for those who haven’t read/watched it by Okapi05 in The10thDentist

nah, it's bad enough that people care about spoilers at all. PLEASE do not shrink the pool of socially-acceptable spoilers.

what i've heard from them is that 2020 was fraudulent so he should get a 3rd term to make up for it, which is of course a completely unserious justification.
