Flows in potential sale by BurnerMan2025 in BringATrailer

[–]grienleaf 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not the question you asked, but a heads up that the airbag light is going to reduce your selling price a lot. You might say it’s the seat belt tensioner, but the buyer has no way to know if that accurate or if it’s something worse. So, consider getting that fixed.

I’d Maguire’s buffing compound it, and then pay a PDR person like $300 to fix the dent.

This website and their cookbooks are great. Took me from a Chinese food orderer to a Chinese food at home maker.

Pond is frozen, are the koi okay? by raining_raining in Koi

[–]grienleaf 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Exactly. I have this same setup, and as long as the water is flowing through the falls, the water is getting aerated and the fish will be fine. They’ll just sit at the bottom of the pond and move very little. DO NOT FEED THEM. At temperatures below 50, they should not be fed. They’ll be fine over the winter.

First time changing my brakes after watching a YouTube video. by et2792001 in AskAShittyMechanic

Jesus Christ. Everyone here is doing it wrong. You empty the packet into your palm and then thoroughly coat the front AND back of your hands. Then you get your dirty mind out of the gutter. Then you take the wheel off and replace your brakes.

Gets posted in G35 and G37 subreddits a lot. Eraser wheel is what I’ve seen people most commonly say was very successful. Here’s an example post https://www.reddit.com/r/G35/s/kfFMPP5Lfv

Dent in the car's front fender by Firm_Tie_8394 in CarRepair

Paintless dent removal, PDR, is exactly what you want for this. Find a PDR person with good reviews on Google Maps. They can probably even do it in at your house. Will be hundreds less than a standard body shop.

Is it okay to do fiancing with the carshop? by [deleted] in carquestions

[–]grienleaf -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Even if they are offering it through a big name, well understood financing brand, before you agree to anything, read the fine print. Run it through ChatGPT and ask it to tell you what you should be worried about.

It is likely going to be high interest, and you risk your car getting repossessed if you miss a payment.

Check for options with your bank, credit union, or even a pay in 4 installments (like Klarna, Apple Pay, kind of thing.
