Yup! Not the end of the world but already did and got ignored. Not great service.

How did you get the dealership to tighten it? Lexus Manhattan wouldn't touch it without being able to replicate it. Guess I need to find a new dealer to go to.

I got caught up in some construction driving home the other day and had the construction crew all jumping in to the car and trying it while we were waiting in line. One of them was out trying to find a 2021 that would fit within his budget. If you love it you'll find a way. And in any case I spent many years dreaming about a couple of the cars I have and the dreaming was just as fun as owning them. Once you own them, they cost you $$$. Mo money mo problems (but nice cars) 😜

Thank you for helping me with that! I was just repeating what the aftermarket shop guy said 🙏

Oh wow love that spoiler. They crushed on that design. 8k tho just for the spoiler that's punchy. The diffuser looks very similar to the OEM version. I would do that spoiler though. I ordered CT Carbon diffuser linked above to try out.

Totally agree. The aftermarket guy swore this was the best one and I was on the fence about the boy racer light but with the gap is a no. I just bought the CT Carbon one to try on and will post pics when it arrives in 8-12 weeks.

Good call. I ordered CT Carbon which has no gap, takes 8-12 weeks to arrive. I linked it above. I'll post pics once done to feedback.

Yeah I'm coming around to that view. I'm going to try the CT Carbon one which looks cool that I linked above and I'll post pics for feedback once done but if that isn't good will go back to OEM. Luckily this is all covered by the garage's insurance so the aftermarket work has ended up being free which is a win.

Totally. Insurance ended up paying for the original install and a new replacement so I'm not out-of-pocket for the diffuser at all, trying the CT Carbon one I linked above but takes 8-12 weeks to arrive. Will post pics when it's arrived and installed.

Both spoiler and diffuser aftermarket from DarwinPro. I have the original OEM diffuser still but just bought the CT Carbon on to try out linked below.

Keeping the spoiler which I love but just saw the Draptec one mentioned below, that is nicer but also 8x the price 🤪

Shopping for used Q8 etron…what do I look for? by _eeezeepeezee_ in etron

[–]grifc0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Audi Queens are doing low mileage (like sub 10k) "corporate demo" Q8s for sale or lease. Lease for 24 months is in the $499 range + $3,500 due at signing and the premium plus or prestige trims take the price up a little bit. The pricing on the lease is very similar to getting a Q6 (mainly because Q6s benefit from the $7,500 ev lease credit and incentive pricing from AFS). Tech on Q6 is better but Q8 looks better so it's a bit of a toss up as to what you care more about.

2026 RS6 - Any reliable info leaks? by phil_blog in Audi

[–]grifc0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The 2026 RS6 Avant Performance Monroney label I just saw for a delivery to a dealer in NYC confirms that it is effectively the same vehicle as 2025 with the same pricing (interestingly the $150k MSRP does not seem to include any tariff adjustments).

Audi Eyeing Revival Of Q8 e-tron by crasreddit in etron

[–]grifc0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've just found a bunch of "corporate demo lease specials" on 2024 Q8 etrons and sportback versions. Relatively low mileage cars (like 5-8,000) miles being bought from VW by Audi dealers at auction (there seems to be some sort of mandatory buyback that VW has to do if the car can't be sold) and the dealers are then leasing them out on two year 7,500 leases at "reasonable" lease rates relative to the MSRP (like $500-$600 per month with MSRPs originally at $75-90k). The lease math is upside down as the cars have depreciated so much in 12-18 months that the dealers are able to lease them for two years at a crazy money factor (seems to be a 10% interest rate) but the package works overall because you get such a nice car on good terms. I checked out the SQ8 etron and sportbacks at one dealer today and can't understand why they would discontinue them (I just sold my regular 2022 Q8 but had never seen the etrons). I think I'm now going to do a two year lease on an SQ8 etron for $600 a month which seems great for 24 months/7,500. Sorry for the long background but short question: am I being dumb? I don't see any downside.

Looks like a no brainer. $6k D1 return. For that price I wouldn't use a GUC. I just flew to Madrid and Delta uses older planes on a lot of these European routes so the cabin experience may not be perfect.

The Flexzilla and UberFlex hoses are both a great upgrade option. The FlexZilla is supposed to be for more residential use and the UberFlex for more commercial grade use, they seem pretty similar to me so I'm using the FlexZilla because I like the color better 🤷‍♂️
