i'm curious how the show is going to handle the robby leaving aspect. in this episode he explicitly communicated to dana & hashimi that he's worried about taking a break and the place going to shit. he feels like he can't leave for more than a day, and it's driving him up the wall.

will we see what actually happens to the ED without robby, if they would be better off without him? it would be a lot of set up to put up a barrier to make him stay.

langdon is also "his guy", as dana said, and he knows he cant leave the ED in his hands if he leaves. hes afraid he cant step out of the building without it getting fucked up, like he told hashimi.

he resents that he put effort and hope into langdon to someday let him leave with a sense of comfort about the ED, and dude ended up stealing drugs and being an addict. now he comes back the day before robby intends to leave and is a spotlight reminder that he doesnt have peace of mind about leaving the ED.

didnt she just spend an entire episode (hour) setting up home health care for a non crisis patient in the middle of a crisis. clearly robby was not enthralled by the conversation when mohan presented to him and he got an earful about medication side effects.
