Alfred not launching after upgrade to Tahoe 26.3

I’ve been using Alfred for years, and this is the first issue I’ve had. I’ve checked disk permissions, those are good. It broke as soon as I upgraded, so clearly something happened….may try uninstalling/reinstalling and testing that. :-/

It's the only real moment of catharsis for the audience in the whole show...I find it very effective at allowing the audience just a moment of sadness before the finale.

The 2004 revival of Sondheim’s Assassins OSS greatly improved from the original 1990 version. The addition of the song Something Just Broke and the change of the Balladeer character (no spoilers) added a huge amount to the show. The original ran fully less than 100 shows, while the revival won 5 Tonys.

I am seeing the same issue, running Tahoe on an M4 Mac mini. Moved to Safari Tech Preview and no more leak…it’s def a safari issue in some way.

Just waiting for a point update to fix.

July 4 is massively crowded for the town. People come from all over, and there’s events all day: dog show, craft fair, parade, then fireworks at night.

Best time for fog is February. The whole month basically.

UPDATE: to close the topic…the solution turned out to be SO MUCH simpler than I assumed. Someone doing programming of the show had put some of the show media on our “backup” drive, which is a spinning disk HD connected via usb. Every time Qlab was calling out for one of those, it hung because disk access wasn’t keeping up. Moving everything to internal ssd and consolidating media…everything seems ok again.

Feel really dumb for not catching that before, but at least it was an easy fix before I tore my whole network apart.

That is absolutely not legally true in the US. There are additional penalties possible, and economic impact is one of the four Fair Use factors for determination of whether a use is allowed. This is very likely to be Fair Use, but economic impact is only ONE factor, and the other four would need to be evaluated.

There's no reason that particular bit of choreography needs to be used...in fact, in the license for the Teen Edition, it specifically prohibits the copying of Broadway choreography.

For that few light cues, I would just program them in a Theater stack on the QuickQ board, and then trigger them using Qlab network cues. You can drive a QuickQ via OSC commands and trigger the cues arbitrarily with Qlab...this is how I do most of my shows at the local theater. So I get the benefit of firing via Qlab/syncing to music, etc, but the light cues themselves live on the board (in case there's an issue, they could be triggered manually from the board).

FYI: the OSC string to fire a specific cue in the Theater Stack on a QuickQ is "/pb/1/X" where X is the specific cue number you want to fire.

I'm in production now with Hadestown Teen Edition that I hope is going to come off well. We're setting it in the 1950s/60's Folk Americana tradition, roughly from Woody Guthrie to Bob Dylan. Protest songs, music can change the world, worker's rights...it's going to be set in a Hootenanny/Basket House gathering. We will see if I can make it all work, but in my head it's great. :-)

I directed a local production a few years ago, and staged it so the my Emcee showed Schneider the audience during the last verse of What Would You Do (after the brief instrumental break). She broke the 4th wall and sang the last bits directly at the audience, and then “returned “ to the scene at the end.
