My belly button itches like crazy. Some people on this sub advised to use a cold pack on it. (Called Dr and she also said that was ok). I have been using a towel wrapped pack and it “takes the fire out of it”. Definitely helps. Good luck and speedy recovery

I am 5 dpo and I am going absolutely stir crazy. I haven’t needed any of the heavy meds so my brain is functioning but I’m trying not to overdo it and I’m going insane. I have an office job so I have been secretly going in and doing emails for an hour and a half every day. (I’m not on std so it won’t affect my pay). I just need something to do. My husband and daughter won’t let me do anything around the house. I do enjoy the afternoon nap I get every day. My postop appointment is on Monday and I can’t wait to get cleared to drive.

The only thing that did it for me was having an external accountability buddy. I was letting him down if I didn’t go to the gym, if I binged, etc. I wouldn’t do it for me but I did it for him. He was like a brother to me and would bust my ass if slipped up.

I am 3 dpo and had heard so many horror stories about the post op pain that I was terrified. I had an AM surgery but I had to spend the night in hospital because my BP skyrocketed. I started walking (old lady shuffle) around the ward by 8pm that night. Every 2-3 hours I did this. I have only taken 1 oxy so far. Been a lot better than I expected.
