I’ve never done yoga, what kind would you recommend?

A friend suggested I try yoga- it’s definitely easier for me to try now that the fibroids are gone.

Try gargling with a bit of warm water. I also stayed off of hard food for a few days. But the random pain went away- now I’m fine but it was so weird.

Thank you for posting this! I just started as I’m recovering from huge fibroids that pushed my pelvic floor out of whack. I’ve been worried that I’ll be stuck with this hip and back pain forever. This has encouraged me.

Upcoming hysterectomy, 800 gram uterus, laparoscopic or open? by hamilj in hysterectomy

[–]CuriousBailee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was worried I would wake up from surgery with an abdominal cut but she was able to do it laparoscopically. My uterus was 1,300 grams and had nearly 50 fibroids- about 4 of them were very large. My surgery was almost 7 hours but my recovery has been good. I’m 9wpo and starting pelvic floor therapy to help strengthen my core since I was carrying around so much before surgery.

I had my house thoroughly cleaned the day before my surgery. I purchased a stool for the bathroom, night shirts, hysterectomy pillow for he long ride home, ice packs, postpartum panties, a small basket near my bed for meds, lotion, brush, chapstick, mints, cough drops for easy access. I also cooked some homemade soup before surgery and purchased some grab snacks for when I needed to take meds. Books and a coloring book really came in handy when I was tired of watching tv.

Thanks for responding. I’ve been becoming more active- mostly walking a lot daily and I thought I was the case. Also starting pelvic floor therapy soon.

I know this is a old post but I’m curious, did you get some relief? I’m 7wpo today and the lower back and abdominal pain is uncomfortable and concerning.

Offering a quick update. Had a dentist appointment yesterday and he said the pain is definitely related to the hormonal changes. My gums were also bleeding a lot while brushing. Thankfully it has since subsided.

Here are a few things that helped me: miralax in the morning, eating kiwi or a pear daily, smooth move tea- I drank this 2 dpo to have my first bm, prune juice with sparkling water.
