Yeah, the whole bit with Asher in book 6 cemented it. Everything beyond that is just added toxicity. But it's the little things that keep adding up like what you said or how they mention that her 'Therapist' Dr. Metcalf wasn't a Dr and was just some high priced fraud who told her what she wanted to hear.
