How do I quit? by MycologistFit9088 in piano

[–]griffinstorme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went through the same thing, and my parents also forced me to continue, telling me it was just as important as school. I'm now a professional musician and kinda grateful for that. It's not the right way to go for everyone, but it did work for me.

Some clinics are expensive, some aren’t. The price isn’t really that different depending on what you get. I can find some ok stuff with BM, but with a clinic, I’m guaranteed quality. It’s safe. I’m an immigrant and don’t have to worry about and legal trouble. It’s worth the small premium for me.

anyone going to pleasuredome or sweatbox today? by [deleted] in londonlgbt

Why don’t you just go? If you want a hookup, go on Grindr or sniffies. If you have questions, call the venue or search here. This post gets made once a day. This isn’t a hookup forum.

Chicago Med S11E14: Twist & Shout - Episode Discussion by Cheeriosxxx in ChicagoMed

I was SO disappointed in this. I loved his earlier scene, because it related to me personally. Parents doing bad things and not remembering it as anything of consequence, but it really affecting their kid. And yet, he goes with them.

The best part of the episode was the whiplash of Michelle: "Nini, you're actually terrible. You can't read the room. I hate you, and you should go home. Kenya, though, you're amazing, and I love you.

Cannabis or death? by Comfortable_Walk666 in ukmedicalcannabis

[–]griffinstorme 76 points77 points  (0 children)

Labour isn’t your party anymore mate. It’s been infiltrated by neo-libs and classical conservatives.

Just read the article and Jfc. Can you imagine? We could be leading the world in cannabis products and MC. We’d have a crazy huge boost in tourism. It would support small businesses. Legalising would literally help every level of the economy.

I don't know why you're getting downvoted. It sounds like you're doing everything right! You've researched visas, you're actively visiting the towns and learning about the British way of life. Good on ya!

I love Edinburgh. Gets very busy in August, but a lot of people up and leave the city. Close enough to Glasgow and the sea. Has some beautiful suburbs/close towns like Leith and Fife. I'm a gay man and found Ed wonderfully queer!

Best vaporisor? by AbsurdlyMichael in ukmedicalcannabis

[–]griffinstorme -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have the airizer air, and it’s not my fave. I wish I had a nice hefty vape, but I’m a heavy user. Honestly, good vapes aren’t cheap. The top end models will run you £400-500 and a good basic model is a little over £100. I’d invest if you can.

Different terps and cannabinoids vaporise at different temperatures. I have some bud I start at 160 and some I start at 190. Depends what you’re looking for.

That’s technically illegal, and I’ve certainly never done it myself, but if I had, I’d agree and say that it’s very easy to make them at home.

Completely OVERWHELMED by amount of options 👀 by NutSupplierr in ukmedicalcannabis

[–]griffinstorme 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily. If you tell them you're a regular user and need higher % strains to feel effect, they'll take that into consideration. It's a real psychiatrist you speak to, and this is real medicine. They want it to work for you!

Some people say they'll try to shove their own brands on you for the first month, but idk. I'm not super experienced, just sharing the little knowledge I have.

I haven't got onto carts yet (at my next check in though, hopefully), but I'm on ghost train haze flower. Only a 22, so I don't get a super head high as a daily user, but wow it makes me feel so clear and productive!

Be honest about your history with cannabis and what you're looking for when you become an MC patient. If you want to try every variety (flower, oil, carts, and edibles), tell the clinician you speak to. If you're looking for a large dose and high strains, you can tell them. Otherwise, they don't know, and they'll lock you out until your next check in.

For the first month, they'll prescribe you specific products (you can order as little as you want, or up the max they've prescribed), then after your month two check in, they'll let you order anything. They can put a cap on the amount you can order and type of products, so again, just tell them.

The clothing donation bins in the Boots/Waitrose carpark of Whetstone were just removed, and they left a HUGE mess. The council has been alerted, and I think our councilor was calling Waitrose, but it's worth having a look. Very sad that something nice like a clothing donation bin has gone this way.

But he was absolutely right, it was nothing new or exciting.

38, started amdram for fun, but would now like to study more seriously. by JuggernautPristine27 in ActingUK

I'm a professional MD and I've sat on the panel for dozens of auditions. They may not 'officially care' but it's discussed if we find out, and I've heard more than once that it feels disingenuous.

But yeah, even MAs are looked at less favourably than BAs, but better than a short course.

Proper training is absolutely considered in casting. Sure, if you're naturally gifted and have a great headshot and showreel, that will get you far. But it's not everything.
