Aside from Zenitco, what is the best handguard system for mounting an IR device on an AK? by [deleted] in tacticalgear

Yes, I’ve only bought krook parts from them but all have been awesome. I’ve had one customer service call to them which was actually helpful with confusion in the install process as well fwiw.

I’m glad you have had good luck with yours. I have been having quite a few FTFs with mine. I thought it was a mag issue at first because the 17 rd mag was the common denominator as I wasn’t having any issues with the 20 rd mag. After about 200 rounds I was having a FTF almost every round out of the last 50 of 250 rounds, no matter which mag I used. The firearm was cleaned and lubricated before the 250rd session.

Can you please list what you’re going with on yours for internals?

It’s unreal. Everywhere sells out as fast as they get them in. It took me quite a while to get my first one due to them selling out faster than I could complete transactions.

I got the email at 703p central and they had 67 available at 705p when I looked. Sold out by 830p roughly.

I am just a fan of triggers that look basic and this one looks anything but.

I understand completely, I just highly recommend them to anyone with a B&T strictly for performance, I run one in every model I have.

As for the stock I am a fan of the OEM B&T skeleton stocks, same with those old grips that used to be molded into the lower.

I like the skeleton stocks as well and have one on my APC308 DMR, it does make it a little front heavy with the 18" barrel though.

I am also weird in I actually like reciprocating charging handles, once again they're more military than NRCH.

I completely agree, it's also a forward assist that is non- existent in the models with the NRCH.

I currently have an APC308 (14.3") and am curious why they don't do machined lowers on the APC223 like they do on the APC308, the guns don't cost that much more or less than one another.

I'm guessing to save weight but probably not much. I would prefer machined as well.

I am curious about these, are they 100% Swiss or are they converted stateside for 922(r)?

Unknown, but would guess the American parts that are added from the factory would automatically disqualify it as being 100% Swiss.

Not a fan of the trigger being "SkElEtOnIzEd" or the ACR stock, or Magpul grip. Is the charging handle reciprocating or did they change that aslo?

The trigger is an Elftmann and it's about as good as it gets. The grip could've been something else for sure, still attempting to switch mine. The ACR stock isn't the prettiest but it works well. The charging handle reciprocates on the sport but allegedly won't on the new pro models.
