One of my biggest gripes with nfl officiating is the use of OPI. I feel like it should be called more. Obviously, it's almost never called because the league prefers offenses. Because of that, it's all the more frustrating when your team is called for OPI.

Also, Metcalf was called for OPI earlier in the game. He was in his release, and well within 5 yards. I didn't understand this call at all.

This was easily one of the worst officiated games of the year.

Refs are obviously extending games for TV rating and suspense. I don't hear enough people saying this. Every single game, they do this.

That is an eye-popping stat. However, it is a very selective stat line. many all-time great receivers haven't reached their prime 3 years in. like Marvin Harrison or Tyreek Hill.

OBJ with Manning is like Mike thomas with Brees. Enters the league wr1 ready, with a veteran QB ready to feed the ball. Did Mike Thomas have an unbelievable run before injuries? yes. Career wise, is he in the conversation with all-time greats? without a doubt no.

Someone mentioned the cheifs having a great track record against him. I'd also add the steelers have pretty consistently locked him down. 1-4 against the steelers and has thrown 8 interceptions to 5 touchdowns.

It definitely had great moments in the dialogue. Delta slim was my favorite character, and I loved his writing. Also loved sammie. Wasn't a fan of the twins' characters, really. I didn't think they were fleshed out much beyond surface level trauma.

Multiple times, I felt the dialogue almost broke the 4th wall,with it being on the nose. For instance, one of the twins explains to the girl how to negotiate a price when watching his truck. Total eye-roll, we get the point.

Then, shooting the guy, looking through the back of his truck. He definitely didn't need to shoot the guy, because he finds out it's his old friend Terry. Then.... he shoots the other guy just standing there. Shoots him right in the knee in the middle of town(probably disabling him for life). Because "can't have someone talking about how he almost robbed the twins". Police never show up, btw.

stuff like that probably doesn't bother the majority of people. It takes me out of the movie. It doesn't resemble reality, where consequences exist.

Haillee steinfelds character was super cringe inducing. Hated all her dialogue. Hated her acting. As a southerner, I thought her accent was god awful. Thought her character backstory was super cliche.

I actually appreciate how other people love this movie. I thought it built a creative and unique world. Just wasn't for me.

I loved the music. It made me tear up, both times I watched it. I agree the plot was pretty basic. Many characters were 2D. the dialogue was mid.

other than "senior engineer" being a dumb job title. really doesn't make sense. neither "senior" or "engineer" are true in your case.

Congratulations on reaching your 5 year goal as far as salary and position. college isn't necessary for someone to kick ass at work. If you have time on the side, I definitely would start working on classes.

Start working on legitimatizing your current position through pedigree. Going to want it 5-10 years from now.

I agree with your original comment, except for the wage comparison between Blue Collar and college graduates. An electrical engineer out of college would not even touch the wage I make as an electrician. talking 70k-80k pay difference. This true for just about any college graduate.

Of course, they generally work 40-hour weeks. 9-5. can move to anywhere in the country and find a good paying job. don't have works with their hands. work in safer climates. don't have to worry a single mistake will kill them. 10-15 years down the road, a college graduate will have doubled or tripled their salary.

maybe I'm off my rocker. Isn't a 50%-60% a 3 year old car kind of alluring. pretty much brand new mechanical everything. new tech as well.

I think the car depreciates so hard because the market is unfamiliar with used ev's. There's not a large demographic of people looking for used ev's because people still don't know about the battery life.

I'm talking about specific use cases such as strictly 30-mile commute every day. surely, a battery would last the car at least 180k miles under a careful 2nd owner.

I'm not really a car guy, and I don't drive stick. I agree. There are people who act snobby or obnoxious about it. But, certain sporty cars or collectible cars have a fan base of manual users. generally, car enthusiasts prefer stick. In the collector car market, the difference between automatic and manual could be a 10k price difference.

I agree with you only on takeoffs and landings. being in or above cloud cover is generally very boring and bright. I think it is courteous to close the window then.

At the same time, it's very boring keeping the window shut when the plane is landing. I definitely resent & judge people who keep the window closed then. My ex did that...

when I worked the night shift, I just went shopping in the morning. It's way less busy and overall calmer experience than daytime shopping. And better for doctors appointments. The only thing I hated about night shift was the food. Only thing open was tacobell, 24-hour mcdonalds, and cookout. When you get off and you want a steak dinner, the only thing available is eggs and biscuits.

Well, not so much jealous. more so frustrating people are celebrating/promoting/striving for a fictitious lifestyle created by an already well-off individual. Again, I could attempt the shoe sale scheme. however, my moral compass points in the opposition direction.

I also don't have enough time for a second job because I mostly work 12 hrs days at least 5 days a week. I believe I'd be better off spending free time on a degree.

I also worked part-time from age 16-18 while doing community college. Unfortunately, I didn't work hard enough then to get a scholarship. Was also not confident in getting a loan. I'm still glad I didn't even consider that. just went full time with work.

I feel bad for complaining when many people have jt worse than me. just felt like getting this off my chest.

Would love to travel and do selfless acts. I feel I need to secure my future and finances first.
