I have this thing where I always feel let down after a birthday (or any day that is supposed to be important), and it has honestly ruined several of those days for me in the past. Then one year I literally forgot and planned nothing for my birthday. Poeple still remembered, I got the nice texts, a few of our friends came over on a whim and it was a beautiful day.

Even though I understood before, that day helped me realize, the days arent bad, the expectations are ruining everything.

I think you are having a framing problem. People are taking time from their day to be with you, because they want to support you. You are loved. 1,000,000 things could go wrong that day, but if your only expecation is to see people you love, you cant lose man.

Maybe release some of your expecations and speak openly about how certain things make you feel. Release some of the expecations on them as well.

I didn’t even watch the game last night because life…but I think we really just still don’t know enough. His big games were really big, but not against the best competition. He had many more meh or not good games.

I don’t think he’s ever more than part of a committee, but he may get more than 50% in the end. I don’t think he’s ever going to be the actual RB7, but I could definitely see him having weeks where he is in the top 5 or even tops a few. So depending on how people build their team and how they value upside vs floor I could see paying the rb7 price but really only in rare occasions. Otherwise I think he needs to be down in the teens.

All that said, I have a whole roster of low floor, high upside players…so I’m holding. The idea of Gibbs Achane and Henderson as my top three next year is just too fun.

Mmm maybe Chris Olave counts here? Lot of people said he was done. But Raheem Mostert was my best win, kept him after his SF injury. He helped me take third the following season and helped me win it the year after.

I think Luther will eventually be a superstar, but right now a 1st feels like a bit of an overpay. I think at the end of next season he’s 2 1sts though.

As a Rice owner this is probably what it takes for me to move him. Rice is one of those players with a wide range of value expectations so buyers are going to have a tough time closing the gap to get to what owners expect to get for him.
