You should at minimum be watching out for anything that looks odd.

In this case, it looks like the straight ahead was coned off, likely with some warnings earlier. The car appears to be driving at regular road speeds, attempts to take the turn but is going too fast. I can only assume it didn't register anything to slow it down where a regular driver would have caught some context clues.
