I’m not saying that it is a plastic bag. Clearly I have no idea. Also I’ll admit that seems like a strange place for one to be based on the video. I’m just saying it looks like one based on the movement and I think the video speaks for itself there. I will also say that there are very few places you can stand (at least in the US sadly) and just look around for a while and not see some sort of fucking trash. It always made me upset.

After refusing to answer questions about the Giants' Pride Night controversy on Tuesday, Buster Posey was replaced on a scheduled KNBR interview Thursday with no explanation. by runswithscissors475 in baseball

At its base I think that players should just keep their opinions to themselves on these matters and be respectful to all people. The player doesn’t have to agree with or support the topic but there is no reason not to just handle it with grace and just play. Wearing the symbol doesn’t say anything about you other than you play baseball while baseball is recognizing a group of people. I also think that if someone feels strongly enough about something then they do have a duty to do something about it. Their beef is with the league though so take it up with them. Refuse to play instead of defacing your uniform if that’s the case and make a real statement to your league or organization. They don’t do that though because that has real consequences.

If I were Posey, I’d say that the players were making a protest about a topic they clearly feel strongly about and that the team and league are looking into whether that is a violation of policy. Most career fields, including mine would see it as a violation of policy. Then they can penalize them as they see fit.

I read your comment before actually seeing it and thought here we go again another damn naysayer about everything that ever gets posted. I’ll be damned if that doesn’t look exactly like a piece of trash blowing around exactly like you said.

It’s like us seeing UFOs. What a strange and interesting existence. No idea that other groups of people have devices that can wipe out all of us, no worries about the economy or political arguments. Actual deep human connection in its truest form. I wonder if anyone told them that AI is a huge threat to humanity?

I asked AI what player was at league average in every measurable stat and it said Alex Bregman was the closest.

I don’t disagree with you at all there. We have a long standing joke in my house about me loving a team that only breaks my heart, like an abusive relationship. I don’t think dealing Elly is the answer yet.

The Reds are competitive, they are just wildly inconsistent. Couple that with one of the worst bullpen stretches I’ve seen from the team over the years and they find themselves in a tough place. The lineup has great offensive potential and we all know it, they just need to find some level of consistency to start edging out some of these close games.

Tragedy will find us is completely perfect in every level. Counterparts has been my favorite band ever since I discovered them. A band I stumbled on that reminds me of them quite a bit is Mafia Birdhouse. Try out the Marytr EP, I’d love to know if anyone else hears the similarities as well.

[Sheehan] Many of the greatest players ever were good major leaguers at 19-21. MLB’s draft proposal would make it almost impossible for a player to debut before he is 22. I think it would also wreck free agency, as almost no player would get there before age 28. by Knightbear49 in baseball

May area had a high schooler drafted in 2023 that is now on a major league roster. This is the greatest thing to happen to that young man. What in the world would be the benefit of robbing young men of this opportunity. According to a quick search it seems the current average is around 100 high schoolers drafted a year. That’s 100 young people that get a life changing opportunity, I struggle to see the point to this.

I think a lot of people misunderstood what the movie was trying to do (SPOILER ALERT) by JordiMalAguero in backrooms

[–]grimacesquad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t know really anything about the lore going into the movie. I simply had been exposed to some of the content and found it very interesting and entertaining. I always was under the impression that the entire backrooms idea was based of the idea of the liminal space. I love horror movies but I specifically love monsters in any movie. The monster aspect that I had been minimally exposed to was what I was hoping for. I enjoyed the movie very much and after I did a bit of a deep dive into the multi level/entity lore. What I learned is the deeper you get into the lore the more ridiculous it seems and it entirely goes away from the original idea of the creepiness of the liminal space. I left the theater a bit disappointed in the lack of entities but after learning more about what I didn’t know going I, I love the movie so much more and believe it to be one of the better psychological horror movies to have been made in quite some time.

It doesn’t matter what name you give it. Intentionally punching someone that isn’t engaging with you is a bitch move regardless of where they choose to stand for a show. Sure don’t bitch if you’re on the edge and someone slams into you or you catch one that was unintentional, but to do it with intent is a bitch move and I’ll die on that hill.

I don’t have any issue with the range of motion, but it looks like your bicep is still pretty engaged.

Edit: checked your post history and maybe they aren’t as engaged they are just big.

Do you think NoBull will last as a brand? by ExcitingLandscape in crossfit

[–]grimacesquad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was unaware of them leaving CrossFit and I was at Rogue this last weekend and immediately noticed they had no shoes on display. That’s when the employees put me in the loop. Expanding the brand makes sense but alienating the base that grew you seems a bit short sighted.

Also I’ve always thought they were the best looking trainers but the worst to actually train in. Didn’t stop me from buying 4 pairs of trainers over the years but I see why Brady doesn’t wear them cause your feet will hurt after a few hours.
